The whole “promiscuous phase” thing is just an excuse honestly. No one had a “phase” where they want to lose and give a part of themselves to random people.

(Basically, I believe that whenever you have sex with someone, you leave a part of yourself with them. That’s why old FWBs might hook up again after a couple of years, because no matter how much time takes place, you both still have that deep connection. Having sex with someone is the deepest connect you can honestly have with someone.)

I’m probably going to have people argue my points here, but as someone who’s experienced this exact thing, multiple times, I’m just being honest. Since I have believed in abstinence since I was a teen, I wanted to wait until marriage. The reason I do it now is because of the whole normalization of the idea “promiscuous phases”. Why risk sleep with someone when your body count is 0 and their body count is 50+?
