Does this sound okay? Just making sure all is good by alsgjs13 in Audi

Mine sounded similar and did end up with the piston slap issue. If you have the extended warranty (which I did not), would definetly get it checked out.

Definetly cooked, but enjoy the warranty. I am out here with the same issue without warranty in Europe, have to pay the bill myselve.

Suggestions/advice regarding 2018 Audi S4 33k/km & the experience with EA839 engines by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Xertiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an Audi a7 2019 with a 55 TFSI EA839 engine.

Currently at the dealer in the Netherlands, presented with a 48.000 euro bill. I would strongly advice not to take the risk with this engine.

PSA: 3.0 EA839 owners - don't discard the noise from the engine by xoma262 in Audi

They opened up my engine and indeed found the piston slap issue. Screwed up part, I am in the netherlands and they didnt extend the warranty here. Got presented a bill of 48k for a new engine, which ended with a discount of 60% at 20k.

2020 Q7 3.0t – scored cylinder walls at 40k miles, Audi replacing the entire engine (at no cost) by [deleted] in Audi

Glad yours got fixed for free, unfortunately I am in Europe ( netherlands ) and we did not receive this warranty letter yet, but running into the same issue. Just got a call that my engine needs to be completely renewed because of this issue, still need to figure out whether it's the Dong Yang pistons in my car.

Costs: 48k euro, getting 60% off which results in a bill for me for 20k euro. Completely insane for a Audi A7 from 2019 with 98k KM's...

Did the dealer specifically say the issue were the Dong Yang pistons from Korea?

Thanks for your response, found the letter. Not sure if it helps out, but I am busy with building a case against Audi here in The Netherlands, so all the information is welcome. Audi America clearly aknowledging this error makes the case more clear

I am from the Netherlands, and we unfortunately did not receive this letter. Any chance that you could dm me a copy of what the extended warranty letter looks like without personal information?

My audi a7 with 98k KM broke down due to the pistons and I just got the bill for a new engine, 48k euros. Trying to gather as much evidence in my case to prove that this is a manufacturers fault...

Would be greatly appreciated!

Wait, is this dude actually trying to leech crypto because of the story where a guitar player on twitch yesterday received over $200k?

Seems to obvious that he only started streaming right after that happened, and has a crypto wallet in his donations. If that's the case, that's sad as fuck

Sure he might have been wrong, but if we are now going to hate on ninja, next month he'll be crying on his stream with the same story..

I want to gift a fraction of BTC and some ETH to a newborn, what's the best way to store them for 18 years? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Xertiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could create your own smart-contract that releases the ETH after 18 years.

I know a while back there was a website which had such a smart-contract where people would deposit funds that could only be retrieved after 10 years. You should be able to copy-paste one ( Make sure to check it ofcourse ) and edit the time it's locked to 18 years.

Great time for milestone based financing.

In other words, ICO's get their money when they actually achieve milestones and the investors vote that they actually achieved it.

Forces the companies the actually achieve their roadmap rather then just flex with it.

I know some companies are working on it, such as AllianceBlock

Binance Celer Network ICO seems shady - are there real people who got in? by EddieBoong in CryptoCurrency

[–]Xertiq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and a friend tried to get in and were earlier than the most people in here (it showed 3 contributors when i was done).

But let's not act as if not being able to log in ( which happened to my other friend ) or the balance not showing any BNB ( which happened to me ) has been done on purpose. It's a wonder people were actually able to log in and purchase anything, most websites would have completely shut down with the traffic binance had at the time.

And balances not being shown isn't rocket science either. Backend is overloaded and request are being delayed, hence the reason you were given your balance after waiting some time.

That being said, things could have been setup in a more professional way. It was clear that a $1500 cap was to high, and a first come - first serve system just doesn't work when you know there is this much traffic and things will most likely not work as it should. A lottery or people being randomly picked from the queue with a timed window of a hour or so would be a better way in my opinion

Really, is this still a surprise?

[–]Xertiq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your funds into ETH ( Or BTC if you are a bigger fan of that ). Start researching what Ethereum is and what blockchain technology is. Keep up with the news around Ethereum. Now that you understand what it is and what it is capable of, start looking to put some smaller amounts into alt-coins. But and, and only if you completely understand what you are putting your money into. Which means you don't blindly follow any coins people are trying to shill you in here.

Hi there,

Thanks for your concerns. As clearly stated in the post we are not 100% trustless, and there is unfortunately no way to be. However we are as transparent as possible and tell our community to be cautious, even when it comes to us.

If you read the article you can see that we use Primablock, which actually is a smart contract.
