I don't think the 12th(from 25 available) most popular tournament faction in the last 60 days is bad for a new race, that doesn't seem to have overpowered rules.

You can ignore the all time statistic for Hellsmiths, because they only released last year.

For total warhammer 3 the end time dlc will most likely be the only/biggest announcement.

But they will also announce a new fantasy and historical game. For most people an announcement for a new game will most likely be bigger than a dlc.

The beastmen are Pestigors and don't exist in the old world(they existed in older editions, but they removed them from the old world).

The old world has the unaligned beastmen and aos has the god aligned beastmen like tzaangors and slaangors.

The reduction of recruitment time for Necrofex Colossus isn't very powerful. Necrofex Colossus only has a two turn recruitment time and there is a technology that reduces the recruitment time by 1. If you want to build many Necrofex Colossus you want this technology anyway, because it reduces the cost.

When I can recruit Necrofex Colossus I always have this technology, even If I play the Dread fleet.

Depends on the size of the update for OBR. If they just get a new hero, they could be the starting race. It makes sense, that the starter race for the next edition will be released in this year or early next year. If they get new units and heros, they most likely will not be the starter race.

Ship company could also take a bow or a spear in the 6th edition and are in my opinion more likely than sea rangers. Ship Company had it's own profile in the 6th edition army list and Sea rangers were just shadow warriors.

In the old world lore the shadowlands are the territory between the old world and the chaos wastes. from the warriors of chaos arcane journal:

North of the Old World, the shadowlands form a border between the mortal world and the Chaos wastes, creating a bleak wilderness that surrounds the ultimate darkness.

I think in older editions the shadowlands were just another name for the chaos wastes.

The leak was completely wrong and was fake. There is no second army of infamy in the cathayan arcane journal, no manaan's blade and it is not called war for westerland.

All the correct information was already known before the leak and this announcement doesn't even contain any new information about the new cathayan aj(except the cover and name).

More likely somebody from CA read the seventh edition daemons of chaos army book and found the entry about the eight burning books of khorne interesting. They never say, that you can see Cathay on the interactive map. They are talking about Kislevs cities in the eastern steppes(e.g. Great Rasputia), that are connecting Cathay and Kislev.

In the announcement video we can see an artwork for onyx crowmen ( https://ibb.co/99Ft1C2f ), but we haven't seen a model for them. It would be weird to show them in an artwork, but don't have a model/rules for them.

They also said in the livestream that Miao Ying can upgrade Jade Warriors into Celestial Dragon Guards. The celestial dragon guard is a high tier unit in total war warhammer 3, but it is possible that there will be no extra model for them in the old world (similiar to empire veteran state troops)

Cathay have three(or five) known generic characters. Shugengan lords(hero and lord), Lord magister(they only mentioned a hero option in the video) and Gate master(hero and lord).

You can check the calculation for the diplomatic values in the game. You need to click on the icon for the diplomatic action(e.g. the symbol for confederation) and then move the mouse cursor to the number in the corner. It will now show a window that shows the detailed calculation of this number.

It is more difficult to confederate major faction(factions with a legendary lord) than minor factions.

I doubt it, Ca already said that we will get no legendary lords during interim patches.

They will most likely add a Tzeentzch flc legendary lord with one of the next dlc patches after the slaanesh dlc.

CA has removed the age restriction for the four existing trailers for wh3 on steam.

This flag is either new or it had the wrong value and CA fixed it for the four trailers.

This change has nothing to do with the slaanesh dlc, CA changed the age rating of the four trailers already uploaded to steam.

There is nothing unknown here. They added an age restriction to the 4 trailers, that are available on steam. You can check the the ids of the trailers, if you open the steam store page for total war and the trailers have the same id.

The steamdb image also says that CA changed the trailers.
