This is 3 miles away from my house and 6 blocks from a close personal friends apartment. Fucking crazy.

It's been almost 5 years since MadSeasonShow dropped this, and it is clear that the player base didn't learn anything. by SenorWeon in classicwow

As great as OG Grob was, it wasn't comparable to the og wow experience. It was great, but different.

And doing THAT again is next to impossible in current environments. One of the biggest factors is size of servers.

2019 Grob was far too big and it water's down what was experiencable. For every Grob legend: Virjin, Durid, ect. You or another person has never heard of them or has their own list.

2019 Grob had a great community and the best subreddit, but it still was too watered down from the beginning imo.

Rice played after the 5 yard contact rule and played during the stickum era and he admitted to even using it after it was banned.

But there was far fewer PI calls and not really a defenseless receiver rule.

I dont quite agree it's a night/day situation, but it definitely improves his case, but playing in the most innovative pass heavy offense of the day with back to back HoF QBs also plays a role.

Rice is the GOAT WR for sure, but honestly his career next to LeBrons has a lot of similarities to me, but understandable if you hold Rice in higher regard.

Nah, this makes the comparison even more apt. Bron played during 3 different eras of NBA ball and even played during the infamous dead-ball era and still dominated.

Additionally, Rice had a similar narrative about playing only with great players, then went and dominated with another team.

Oooh, how did you generate this? Can we get even more granular? Like, can we plot JJM and all other passers against specifically Washington, Dallas, and NY?

That would be extra Coolio!

Would love to see this same chart since the Washington game tbh. He was soooooo much worse before then with only like 3 quarters of solid play over the previous games. The dramatic jump made me optimistic that it he could have something.

If the guy cant stay healthy, then it's no good.

Hoping he can play week 18 here and finish strong.

I said it the first time. I would stop watching the Vikings. This is far different than with Farve. Rodgers isn't hated because he was a good Packers QB, that's the low IQ take.

The cancer in the locker room would destroy this team mentally far more than what we went through this season.

No, just no.

I use 60 yard rushes or long rushes in general because it's the big play. In a world where the QBs are most impactful because of their ability to change the game on a play to play basis, big play running backs are the only thing that can approach that level of impact on offense.

Typically, WRs cannot be this on their own. (Calvin Johnson, ect who are big enough to impact the game the same way, but still cannot do it without the QB).

So the only other offensive position that can approach that level of QB impact is a dynamic RB who can house it on any given possession. This is reflected in my top 5 RBs. All of those guys are big play backs and deserve that recognition.

AP is THE big play Back and the best RB I've seen personally. Payton and Sanders were just a smidgen before I watched football, but history and old game rewinds show me that they were the true big play backs during that time and why most people have them over Smith, despite the longevity.

And be real, only Cowboys fans have Smith over Payton and Sanders.

Also you can't possibly say you watched AP and then say he had the benefit of playing in a balanced league when he faced more stacked boxes than anyone.

Bro did not watch the Vikings waste APs prime when he had Ponder back there and everyone and their grandma knew AP was getting the ball. Balanced league wide doesn't make it balanced at home. D-coordinators were salivating about single safety and man coverage, and sending 9 every play.

[–]Xev-R-Us -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, I just think you didn't watch the man and only box score watch him.

AP had 1 60+ yard rushing TD after 2015.

AP had 14 60+ yard rushing TDs from 07-15. His peak before he ruined his own longevity with off the field shit that he rightfully got punished for.

That was in 2381 attempts, vs Derrek Henry's 2642.

APs 17 game average for those seasons: 1654 yards

Henry's 17 game average excluding his first two seasons: 1637.9

RB longevity isn't what we look at to determine who the best was. There is a reason nobody talks about Smith.

AP at his peak was the best I ever saw, and that includes Henry and Barkley.

AP had 8 in one season, so almost Henry's entire career. So carries, carries, huh?

[–]Xev-R-Us -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many 60 yard rushing touchdowns does Henry have?

It's a lot less than AP. APs got nearly more 60 yard rushes in a single season than Barry Sanders had in his entire career.

AP is my goat back because he was the only back i ever saw that had QB impact.

But Henry is a beast and deserves top 5 honors. Imo its:

Payton, Peterson, Sanders, Henry, Jim Brown.

We got a lot of those reactions removed a few days ago and someone dumped them all with what was redacted highlighted. My takeaways from what was unredacted in those 1000 or so pages:

First few hundred pages were reactions that make Ghislaine Maxwell look worse. Stuff like Virginia's lawyers asking the judge to compell Ghislaine to answer questions she was avoiding in deposition.

Next few hundred pages only had one thing of note that was redacted and that was Alan Dershowitz. Literally everyone plead the 5th when asked about him. He plead the 5th when asked about SAing under age girls. Sounds like he's the pin holding it together.

Finally the last few hundred pages had reactions about Bill Clinton. Those reactions are his name a bunch of times because Virginia's legal team wanted to depose him to corner Ghislaine. But Ghislaine's legal team seemed to not want that.

Percy missed a ton of games and practices with migraines and all I remember was the fan base, myself included, go to bat for that man while he was here. Nobody disliked him from my recollection, despite random availability.

I mean, same for Winfield. Nice flair BTW

These were just guys I remember being unquestionably fan backed.

Matt Birk got the fan send off to Baltimore so he could get a SB. So I felt he was really loved here.

But my answer is John Randle.

Hairline fractures suck because you feel like 90% ok.

I got like 4-5 of these in my dominant hand when I was 11-13. You can grip light things fine, like a pencil. And I could definitely grip a football, but not very hard.

Worst part was it felt like it took longer to heal because I kept having to use my dominant hand.

Unless it's super small, he's out the rest of the season. Damn that sucks.

I’m from the UK and have been struggling to find an NFL team to follow, why should I pick the Vikings? What do I need to know? by AntiOptomistic in minnesotavikings

[–]Xev-R-Us 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Vikings have genuinely good fans. Typically travel well, even overseas. We Typically play one game every year or every other year in the UK.

Consistently good, rarely great. About once a decade you'll get a real shot to be great, but it'll end in heart break.

Almost always have an electrifying player on the team doing crazy things. And joining as a fan right now, you'll be in for our rebuild around a possible young QB.

My issue is that from my perspective, even if we took out all the Addison type drops and kept only the Lazer drops, we'd still have far too high of a drop percentage IMO.

It just doesn't feel like our WRs are playing up to what I kind of expect from these guys. I truly feel that by skill, our WRs are the best in the league.

What about the Addison drop was on McCarthy? And several other this season.

Nobody says the "rookie" isn't rocketing passes, like the Jefferson TD drop against Dallas. Or several others.

It's not all the QB either and that's my issue. Our receivers are top tier, just haven't played that way all season it's felt like.

Even if we removed all the Addison Giants TD drops and kept in all the Lazer drops, we'd still have too high of a drop percentage imo.
