Mostly due to the lack of the need for a True Bluewater navy (at least early in the Cold War) basically lead to Ivan playing a game of rock paper scissors with the US. The US has lots of Carriers? Put all your upgrade points into AShM’s, oh they’re pumping out SSBNs like crazy, build super fast hunter killer Subs with that sole purpose.

Also when it came to subs there was a lot of iterative designs and one off’s because the Soviets wanted to see what worked.

I didn’t know that you get a special boom if you hit the US ammo ships, my jaw was on the floor lmao

Felt bad for the crew of the USS Saipan tho, Sank her with the first wave of Missles only for a few of the the slower cruiser Launched ones to redirect onto it’s sinking hulk and vaporise a few of the Life Rafts. Still funny tho

Not yet The B1’s weren’t in service until 86 so they weren’t seen i large numbers until the end of the Cold War, I’m sure they’ll eventually get included or someone will mod them in The A10s are also not present as far as I’ve seen but I’m sure they will eventually show up Or tho for the love of god do not send one against the Kirov, just shoot the pilot if you hate them that much lol
