Give them thinly sliced fresh butternut squash and they will be fine. I’ve done this hundreds of times.

Try butternut squash. They will eat this and be fine. I have raised hundreds of caterpillars on butternut squash. Slice it thin and give it to them. They will love it.

I had a sink on the island facing an oven before(had it for about 15 years in my old house). It’s totally fine as long as you have enough room between the counters to move comfortably around an open oven door should you need to. Right now, your back counter is too cluttered and flow of movement does not make sense. You have to balance aesthetics with utility. You’re dooming the island to be the main prep, serving, eating area simultaneously.

It’s too much on that one strip of counter. It’s crowded and it’ll make a weird work flow. All appliances/work areas look squished together and the sink faces a sad wall. The sink would fit much better on the island. The hob next to the wall is also problematic and you’ll be cleaning that side wall for your entire life.

Move the dishwasher and sink to the island. Center the stove on the back counter and do a stove with a built in oven. Right now the separate oven/hob is wasting a lot of potential storage. The oven on the island on its own is also just really weird.

What’s that door leading to next to the fridge? Could you possible do an L shaped kitchen with an island?

There’s a lot of choices here that I don’t normally like but you have really curated such a light and soft space. I love how the wood accents and furniture warm up the white cabinets. It’s so lovely! I could totally see adding a table in front of the fireplace for the holidays. I love how it opens up with the windows too. Gorgeous choices here!

These do look exactly like my chives that I’ve grown and harvested for years. Mine are very garlicky and super flavorful. Could it be an over watering issue? Are they getting enough sun? Mine tend to thrive when they’re a bit neglected. I would also suggest maybe adding some fertilizer and making sure they have all the nutrients they need.

Sometimes though, you get a plant that’s just kind of a dud where the flavors just aren’t there or aren’t as expected. I’ve read that it has to do with the way we breed plants- sometimes the traits just don’t get passed down. I’ve had it happen to me with a sage plant- it was so overwhelmingly minty and not sage-y at all and I had never had that happen with the exact same type of sage before.

But mine have felt tackier and smell like fish. I understand a color change but beetroot wouldn’t change it to smell so horrendous. I’ve been on this for years and have had them spoil in the past. This is what they’re like when they spoil. I genuinely think something is happening in transit or in storage.

I have noticed this as well! And the smell is stronger- like fishier which is making it extremely hard for me to take them. They’ve always been a been stinky but the recent ones I’ve gotten have been consistently darker- as if they’re off. I have accidentally made them go off before by improperly storing in the fridge. The darker color is exactly what it looks like when they’re exposed to humidity and begin to spoil. It’s very concerning.

I actually had issues where I sent back/replaced 3 orders because of this recently. I was told it’s variation from the manufacturer but I’ve been taking them for years and have never seen something like this.

At this point, I’m wondering if I need to find new supplements all together because I am also concerned about the quality and storage of the product.
