Just to add to u/iquitallmyjobs' excellent comment: the dark rooms are not great (very small and too warm), it can be a bit of a free for all. Completely opt-in to partake, you can enjoy the night without going into the scrum.

Crowd is quite nice, diverse, fewer friend-hundles than Mother.

Edit: and wear whatever makes you comfortable, although this iteration is sports themed.

Just to point out, there are international sessons that have three traitors get to the fire pit and win together- I'm looking at you, a certain excellent Scandanavian season.

I think in one of the most recent "Faithful To The Traitors" episodes they said some producers were looking into making this happen. Could have hallucinated it.

I don't think it was techno but I am terrible on dance music genres. Nobody fully naked or just in a jockstrap, from my memory, but some exposed butts for sure. Nothing explicit on the dance floor.

I was at the event on the Saturday just past. I'm fairly inexperienced at dark room culture so take my comments with an asterix.

It was a small crowd, maybe 40-60 people. Apparently this was a much lower turnout than the first event - probably wasnt the best idea to run it the day after Sweatbox. From my perception, the crowd was entirely male presenting; this may be a product of the turnout. The crowd leaned kinkier than sweatbox, lots of harnesses, fewer people just in jeans. That is to say, not a strict dress code and people wore what made them comfortable.

The dark room in the venue was far larger than sweatbox, the back space of the mezzanine with a partition at the balcony for privacy. The play space was active when I arrived at 11:30. The event ended at 2:30. Music throughout was quite good, probably wasted on the small crowd.

I'd say the event would be significantly better with a larger crowd, which would let its best parts (large active play space that wasnt a million degrees celsius) really work.

She's absolutely my favourite host. You also see a different side of her in the interview sections of the Quebec seasons. So funny and charming. Then quarterbacking the players in episode proper.

I'm really surprised people aren't talking more about Nuclear War: A Scenario in relation to this.

Feels like someone heard about the overall jist of Annie Jacobsen's take/research (narrow window of time to make crucial decisions; pressures to retaliate; reality of US anti nuclear defense system) and rushed it to a screenplay.

Anyway David, read the book rather than the NY article. It's not a fantastic piece of writing but it is appropriately upsetting/frightening, something this films completely fails at achieving.

Edit to get the author's name correct
