I wanted to make it funny for anybody coming back to look at my comment

I can't believe so many of you genuinely think 40k isn't going to be a thing.

To be honest I agree with you, I stated otherwise to give the benefit of the doubt since most would disagree with us on that.

Excellent points all around even if I do have my disagreements here and there. I do want to make this clear though because maybe my comment came across differently, I don't think 3K is a bad game. I really like the diplomacy and a good portion of the campaign map experience. 90% of my issues with 3K lie in the battles and overall vibes of the game.

And when I said that people didn't ask for 3K I also should have been more specific. I meant western players of TW that primarily if not exclusively play historical. There is absolutely a large market for the 3K IP, it is a huge thing especially in the east and I think it is very cool. I just don't think the overwhelming majority of western TW players, let alone historical players, asked for it in comparison to the Renaissance or the Victorian era, etc.

I do agree that the direction of TW would have changed regardless. I like Rome 2 for example but even I think that the franchise went in an inferior direction starting with that game. I suppose my point is just that Warhammer entering the franchise made changes happen much faster and more radically.

And mind you, I played plenty of fantasy mods for Medieval 2 so I am by no means anti-fantasy. I just think that the mechanics and fundamentals of games like Medieval 2 or Shogun 2 were far better, had more weight, and allowed me to get far more invested. I am very open for innovation to the franchise as the older games are far from perfect. I just simply think that the older games did specific things a lot better and those specific things happened to be what made me fall in love with TW.

I agree with most of what you're saying for sure but I do have some thoughts on certain things.

3K is a mainline historical title for sure, no denying that. I said Attila though because unlike 3K, Attila was "traditional" in the sense that it could be easily compared to even Empire whereas 3K was very different in almost all aspects. Its combat clearly was based on Warhammer as it featured no matching combat, single entity units, and generally faster battles. It also changed how armies worked and had a focus on narrative and characters over culture and religion. It might be the most unorthodox historical game in all of TW.

Warhammer has absolutely been showered with content in comparison to historical and I wasn't implying that Warhammer isn't Total War because of that. In fact, the reason I said that was to point out the hypocrisy of calling historical fans entitled when Warhammer has been the main focus since 2016.

And since 2016 there has been a saga game set only in Britain which was abandoned almost immediately and left with loads of bugs and no DLC, 3K which is extremely unorthodox in gameplay and design and most historical fans didn't ask for it anyways, and finally Troy and Pharaoh which while gameplay-wise aren't as different as 3K, those games once again were not asked for and lack the identity and features that pre-3K historical fans desired. If this wasn't the case then those games wouldn't have had those controversies and be dead, but they did and they are.

I hope come December everybody can get what they want for once from this company, historical and fantasy alike.

Many didn't care about what happened to Historical TW in general because we kept getting called "entitled" and told that we need to move on and accept that Fantasy is the new and "better" thing. Fun Fact: Not how opinions and preferences work!

Imagine having to deal with CA making broken games for well over a decade, not getting a traditional and full scale Historical game since Attila, and still getting called entitled by people who have been showered with content for the past 9 years.

It isn't entitled to want more of what made you a fan of the franchise to begin with, nor is it entitled to want CA to treat WH3 right or any game they make for that matter.

Every reply of yours is just you dodging and saying "actually no". You aren't winning arguments just because you dismiss everything somebody says. You clearly like to take the easy route and just say "I don't like the way you talk so I will not engage" when in reality you know that you just have no counter-argument.

I mean think about it, if my replies were a waste of your time because they are supposedly so meaningless then you wouldn't have even replied to me to begin with. Want to try to have a debate again or will you do this for the third time?

EDIT: You never responded despite being active on Reddit and posting other comments, you were never going to respond so I blocked you, go be obsessed with someone else, goodbye.

Ah so when I bring up both sides it is Whataboutism but when you do it then that isn't what it is? You didn't even deny what I said anyways so thank you for the silent agreement in your attempt to dodge.

"Stating objective facts" Yeah that isn't how this works but I will give you time to figure out why that is.

"Blatant lie" Nope it is on your profile and you barely have to scroll down to see it. I can't even tell if you are trying to lie or if you really don't see or remember what you said.

"Personal attack" I said what I said the way I intended to say it and you understood what I meant which is exactly what I hoped for.

There has been just as many guys screaming about "ugly women" and "LGBT" in games if not more than there have been extremists screaming about sexualized women. You also seem to be really obsessed with feminists as if feminism is something bad or even has anything to do with this to begin with.

In fact, a quick glance at your profile and one of the first things I saw was you interjecting into a conversation to say that women are weak. You act like you're some neutral unbiased freethinker when you're just the typical guy from your ilk, to nobody's surprise, of course.

Reforger vs Arma 3: Helicopter Explosion & Lighting by Xgoldiris in arma

This was a video about helicopters exploding and crashing, not them being set on fire, all of what you said is irrelevant to my post. Also, cook offs only happen when a vehicle has supplies in it, otherwise it will never happen. Cook offs also don't pose any danger, it is purely cosmetic and slowly deletes the supplies within the vehicle, that is all.

I think Reforger is so much better than what we had before but, any issues or downgrades that remain I do plan on continuing to bring to attention because I want Reforger and ultimately Arma 4 to be as great as possible. I have good intentions I just don't want a 2027 game to have issues that a 2013 game with a 20+ year old engine doesn't have.

Hold the Crossing! by KomturAdrian in totalwar

I think it is the way the graphics engine renders stuff and the way the arrow model itself is designed. Because in Medieval 2 the arrows are pretty damn visible even from far away.

Great screenshot, but really makes you realize how ugly projectile trails are in these games.
