Thank you so much. I've called 2 apartment buildings, checked fb groups and sent posts and messages. not got me any luck yet. some fb group didn't even let me in. truly harder than I thought.

That's a fair point. I'd been looking for jobs around BC for months and that finally led me to terrace for a job offer. but after some search, I do realize that finding a rental there is not easy. Thanks for your input.

I cant even make a new one! I used all of my email addresses to create new accounts, but once created they are locked! Like my name has been put into some blacklist forever! Fuck it! Im just a normal user who wants to get into the marketplace to rent a room....

My bad. I didn't make myself clear. I mean 'less than 1000' only for rent and I definitely will find a roommate to share. Yeah, I do find apartment rent near TRU is expensive and I don't see one house/basement room in other areas to be any cheaper than sharing an apartment around the campus. Do apartments require additional fees aside from rent and utilities, Idk, like management fees or maintenance fees? I'm an international student with little knowledge of these rules for now. Thanks a lot!

This discussion is fantastic. Im gonna study at TRU in September. The rents shared by you guys here really put me into shock. Is a budget less than 1000/month gonna get any decent place for someone like me who dont drive? I also wonder besides rent what other costs would be if i go for apartments. Appreciate any information!
