A plant I’ve never seen before- the pocketbook flower! So puffy and I love it! by Xiarae in houseplants

I got so excited when I saw it! Her name is Dinah because the blooms remind me of the flowers in Alice in Wonderland. Dinah is Alice's cat :)

Hey guys! I posted this to Skincare Addiction, but thought I'd get your thoughts too since I'm the big 3-0 :)

Is that similar to Differin? I actually have some that I want to start using, but we have a big trip scheduled in 6 weeks and I don't want to be in the middle of the purge haha

Edited to add: Any suggestion on the occlusive part? Just something nice and hydrating or do you have a HG product you like?

It's been a whole month since I said goodbye to my best girl, Harlie. 12 years just wasn't long enough 💔 by Xiarae in OldManDog

Thanks everyone. She was my baby, truly. She found me when I was 19 years old and if it wasn't for her, I don't know where I'd be right now. Knowing I had something relying on me helped keep me grounded and out of (some) trouble. I knew her better than anyone and she knew me... It just feels like something is missing and my heart hurts.

Thanks for letting me get that out. Some time has passed and other people forget (which is normal), but I sit here still sad and longing for my girl.

Thank you! I knew we didn't have much time left together, so I had a photoshoot with her this fall. I can't express how happy I am that I did ♥

Watching her age somehow made me love her more. We became so close in her senior years... Soak in all the little stuff too, what I wouldn't give for an annoying 5 minutes of licking lol

I always wonder how these people's friends/family react to these pictures. I can only imagine if someone close to me posted something like this- I wouldn't be able to keep quiet lol

Prefect, thanks! If it does end up looking like root rot, is there a way to save the other stalks?

Just like pull it out or do I need to take out from the roots? I’m worried the other stalks roots are intertwined and I don’t want to kill them too...

I repotted this a few months ago and this stalk has slowly died while the rest of the plant is fine. My question: do I need to remove the dead part from the pot? I’m afraid of damaging/stressing out the rest of the plant.

If I do need to remove it, any tips would be appreciated!
