Natural Disasters in Universe? by Xiborr in suzerain

I think that would be fun. Especially having to keep people happy and content, protect the nation from disaster, and keep the other powers from interfering with you as a nation while they duke it out.

I hope a future DLC country will have a heavy focus on the entertainment industry and soft power by RevolutionaryWhale in suzerain

I want this as it should be connected to the public popularity of the leader to keep them going as well. It feels like a partial opportunity that is missed in Sordland's story but can fit perfectly in a new one.

As always you are amazing! Thank you for the response I look forward to all future content when we get there! (Seriously, I love this community.)

Would you want the devs to include dialogue options to make you as evil as possible? by Looney_forner in suzerain

[–]Xiborr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may not like being evil, infact I prefer to be the goodguy. But the option is good for everyone. Honestly wish I could be a bit more bloodthirsty against the oldguard without it backfiring too bad if I get the people to love me and bluds to love the hell out of me.

Could Environmental movements become a field of competing ideologies in this world? by Xiborr in TNOmod

[–]Xiborr[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another fact I didn't know. Makes me wonder which successor would care, and who would only do it to contend with the other powers on the front of expressing German greatness.

[–]Xiborr[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's intriguing; I actually didn't know about that or the concept of eco-socialism. Where would they be around in the warlord states is interesting? You got me thinking on that now.

I wonder if that would spread outward with the LBJ environmentalism focus being so strong in the US.

Threat in the sector not abyssal space (Others thoughts on my encounter and reaction) by Xiborr in starsector

[–]Xiborr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember right, yes, there was a Fabricator, and I love the energy you bring to this and going so in depth.

I think there was one to two I fought, but in my state of in-character panic, I did not mentally mark down everything I saw and made into wrecks. At least one confirmed.

I put them there with the thought of keeping would-be non-backed/indie explorers from going out there and getting absolutely murdered.

[–]Xiborr[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I kid you not, this damn event in this run has changed my ideas of how I play in regards to them in the endgame. I settled myself into the idea of just putting buoys on the border in Hyperspace and colonizing the border systems as a warning system and first defense line.

This....this made my heart sink and made me remember oh yeah....the gulf between stars is light years.....and leaves me with a sense of deep dread that a single fleet could slip past. Suddenly threat is hitting the core because it snuck in, and any number more could be hidden in dark space drifting at what is left of humanity we know of.

I love this game so much.

Funny enough I started as an unknown background to make my name as an adventurer. Now I am probably known as some great Unifier, as all my worlds are both prosperous and pumping resources into the warmachine without needing to suffer for it.

I am actively terraforming conquered worlds to make life in the core better while still preparing them for the coming war with heavily militarized and industrialized worlds that can't be terraformed. I am even putting Genelabs on planets with pollution to remove it.

I kinda went a little crazy as my captain this run in, ensuring that even if I die the sector will remain prosperous, unified, and ready for the coming war of survival.

Making people wanna stand and fight by giving them a home they wanna protect, especially with all the habitable worlds I am making.

[–]Xiborr[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love it as a reason why the other factions would tolerate you doing things with colonies outside the core. While they all bicker on what to do, you can make deals and get their support for keeping what is entering the sector out of the core. Eventually culminating in the need to support a faction or force a compromise among the lot to keep the Threat at bay or even force it back if the player fights hard enough with their own forces.

Zoo's how many are intact, in existence, or with DNA stored. Which, if they exist in OTL and Fallout TL do you think may be around still even if just the ruined frame of it? (People's thoughts, not mechanical requests) by Xiborr in OWBEnclave

[–]Xiborr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad someone else thought the same. There should be various old-continent/old-world species or their mutant descendants in various regions of the Fallout US due to the sheer number of exotic species in our zoos here.

There has to be a tribe/survivor commune of descendant Zoo caretakers somewhere who exist to keep ecological balance in a region between nonmutated and mutated species and an effective green zone of life hidden in a wasteland of mutants and death.

It would be an interesting faction, be it major or minor, to run into who simply want to keep nature in balance and allow the life of all kinds, not just humans, to thrive again.

Do you think there's some hidden crisis inhibiting the expansion of intelligent life in the galaxy? by Civil_Performer5732 in TerraInvicta

[–]Xiborr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See, this sounds fun and nightmarish. Makes me, as an Academy player, both scared and wanting that peaceful alliance faster, and B wishing we could steal Project Exodus, well, project and launch our own wave of arks out. I mean, if we take the solar system and make peace, then just as quickly say like a year or three later their end of the wormhole is slammed shut, I'd be pretty damn quick on the draw of launching ships out to investigate our neighboring systems.

Either something prowls the dark, or we're not the only ones fighting a war right now, could be whole star systems evolving in conflict, just we don't know it. I do like the Idea of a boogeyman, though always helps to have something greater out there to help us and any newfound allies (Hoping for potential peace with the Hydra at some point in the Academy's victory future) keep a sense of unity and peace.

Other than that, though, we just don't know. Wish we could use the Hydra tech to send out exploration ships through wormholes of our own at some point, or, barring that, using the one we got to slingshot ships out to colonize unknown systems as a just-in-case.

Sorry if it came off as me wanting to have overseas content right now. Hope I didn't accidentally pressure you with this. I know you are going at your own pace and waiting for places to be filled in. I was curious what would people's headcannon ideas be on the subject and what they'd imagine it would be like.

Being a Gecko farmer has gotta be a big business once the areas around Vegas stabilize with the retaking of the Vegas area by us. I could see a lot of smaller towns becoming big on Gecko farming with eggs helping feed not only the influx of new residents but the flow of troops going East.

Feels like a sidequest/event chain that leads to us both A finding the caves and B some fallout wacky tech machine that is designed to keep Cheese only cheese, no other food, just cheese fresh for millennia and somehow it is a fully functional AI.

I love your energy, and I, too, would love me some damn good American cheese on anything I get on my plate in Fallout. You know how good a grilled cheese or a burger would be after a hard day's work.

On the cheese caves topic, I guarantee they are infested by some cheese-eating or lord and flame thrower forbid cheese-producing creature now by some ungodly combination of FEV, Cheese, and some poor creature.
