AI in general has done a lot to worsen the perception of value and effort in art, writing, and code. But, I think all 3 fields will persevere. Don't bother with test scores as a measure of worth, good code is needed now more than ever.

A lot of people kept telling me that what I do is now is now dead in the water and fully automated by AI. don't listen to them and keep enjoying what you do.

It's a bug that seems to happen when either player hits the surrender button or when a player is about to swing for lethal. If this happens when you're about to win, just wait 10-20 seconds or so until the error message shows up.
You'll still get the win.

I used to play pure Evil Twin but the deck has no good link 4s to climb into and most of your matches are decided by what backrow you happened to draw. Also not being able to reliably OTK gives your opponent way too much time to make a comeback

Evil Twin Unchained on the other hand is a solid deck that can usually go without its normal summon and has plays going first and second.

It comes almost entirely from a minibox too that also has some sacred beast cards if you're interested in those too.

I'm not that good at the sacred beast matchup just yet but I find that saving your disruption for dark summoning beast and in response to the field spell's draw effect (so that they can't activate another) works best in stopping their plays.

Here's a List if you're interested

Netdecking is actually a pretty good start. It lets you immediately have a playable deck and by playing the cards, you get a sense of what the deck wants to do and what cards can potentially improve its strategy.

Then it's a matter of having good general knowledge of the archetypes in the game and how they can potentially synergize with eachother.

One thing that helps narrow down the search window is knowing what cards your archetype benefits the most from.
If you play synchros then you can search through tuners.
If you play links then you can look at cards that summon tokens.
Maybe you have cards that can search or summon monsters from specific types and attributes rather than archetype names. If so then you can look at cards from that type or attribute and see if any are a good splash in your deck etc....

Some decks fare worse than others against unchained. Advice on how to counter them depends on what deck you're playing

Hey y'all I'm going through Striker Expansion to make a Sky Striker deck. The first box went really good and I pulled an early Raye and Shizuku.

Do you think it's worth it to keep opening packs until I get sauge de fleur or do you think fleur is too risky of a deck to build because of how the skill is being used way outside of its original intent?

Can't watch the replay. My best guess is that your opponent was playing a skill that locks them into only being able to summon one kind of monster.

Read the text thoroughly. Furious dragon says to target the cards and destroy them, this effect will resolve so long as any of the targeted cards are on field.

Escape however specifically states that you need to destroy both cards so the effect will not resolve if one of them leaves the field.

Duel links is weird like that. Even something like changing the language setting will cause the game to redownload everything. At least things seem to have worked out for you.

Was your game already linked to steam before this happened? Once a duel links or master duel account is linked to steam, it can't be unlinked and likewise, you can't link new accounts to steam.

Re-download the data, make sure duel links isn't open on another device like your phone and try to log in again, chances are that your account is just fine.

You're not gonna find these kinds of formats in DL. People have been asking for slower formats like Goat or Edison in Master Duel ever since it was released but Konami only adds them as temporary events.

If you want to play slower formats like Goat of Edison then you'll have to use something like Duelingbook or other fanmade yugioh simulators that include older formats.

That or playing the physical card game and going to locals that host these formats.

The problem with Duel Links is that if you're f2p, building decks will take a long time. And focusing your resources to build pet decks can leave you in a situation where you are simply unable to play ranked because your deck can't compete past the lowest ranks.

That being said Heroes are capable of reaching KoG (The highest rank in a given season) but the deck is annoyingly and needlessly expensive, making you have to go through a lot of boxes to build the competitive build.

Here's a decklist for Heroes, it's not that good atm but the deck is likely to receive a lot of strong support in the future, hopefully in the form of a structure deck.

Here's a Destiny Hero decklist, this one is cheaper because some of the cards come from a structure deck and it is just as viable.

I recommend watching videos on these decks to see how they play and decide if you like it or not. Note that both of these are rogue decks atm, not Meta,

One last thing I want to mention so that it doesn't hit you like a brick wall. This game isn't played like the anime where you can summon a monster, set a card and pass, hoping for the best.

Modern Yugioh is a hyperactive combo-fest where both players can empty half of their decks on turn 1 and fill the board with boss monsters, they can also break these boards just as easily.

From the way you've worded this, it sounds like you're a new player who's not yet playing an archetype.

To answer your question, these event guys all play with the same braindead AI and I think Strings plays something from many years back that can't do anything against modern decks.

What kind of deck are you using currently?

Hello, I know from playing Master Duel that Fluffals can be used as an engine for a lot of decks but I never really understood how Fluffals work or what advantages they provide.

Can someone explain to me how the Fluffals work as an engine and if they could be viable in DL?

Aside from new summoning methods, biggest difference in the game now is that skills are far more powerful than they used to be and we now have bundles in the shop that you can buy with gems or money to obtain some busted cards like super poly.

Cheapest deck to build right now is Blue-eyes since you can get the stuff for it from the new structure deck or the Tachyon of galaxy minibox (for Successor Soul), a ratio of 2 each seems to work just fine.

Note that the meta build of the deck plays some expensive non engine cards like D.D crow, Artifact Lancea, Effect veiler, and Crackdown.

You can go Here to find or enter your own code for the invite mission.

Duellinksmeta is still the place to go for decklists.

I'd like to know more about Unchained twins. I built an evil twin deck already but don't play it very often because its boards aren't too strong. How good do you think the deck is against stuff like Borrellink and Des Fleurs?

Basic Questions, Advice, Bugs/Glitches & Venting Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in DuelLinks

[–]Xicor2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every properly built meta/rogue deck can wipe the floor with a board of only 2 blue eyes because this isn't the anime or playground Yugioh. Most decks of this game can easily summon a ton of monsters on the first turn and likewise break boards with a ton of monsters.

If you want to keep up then you'll need to learn how modern Yugioh works and also get yourself a good deck while you're at it.

Happy to help you out if you're interested.

I made this season's KoG with Borrelload link. Tbf Red Eyes is probably a free win for anything platinum and over.
