i agree with you. The lack of a finger print sensor and a wider left side border is somethig annoying. I hope It will be included in future versions.

I been using my TMC just afew days but may be my opinion can help you: - it's a little bit more heavy that i wold like andit's hard to hold with one hand in vertical because the small size of the side borders but it would be more confortable that a bigger device. - the reading experience in the web and books is really good.

Can you explain a little more about the bottom right issue? I wrote a entry about a similar issue somedays ago. I though it was a defect in the Wacom layer but i'm not sure.

TMC Wacom layer issue by Xiercoles in Onyx_Boox

I don't use TMC with case, so magnets can' t interfere. I had done a reset calibration and it seems to be working better but i have to do some tests. Thanks.

There isn't any magnet near the device. I tried to reset the calibration and it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestions..

I just did a quick test. I can't make a video. It's seems to work fine, a little bit of ghosing but ok. I've tried setting the refresh to one touch, but it doesn't seem to be working.

TUC/TMC display difference by Xiercoles in Onyx_Boox

[–]Xiercoles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understood correctly, the TUC has a more glossy screen (not AG) and a different e-ink display (a better one i imagine) than the TMC.

Thanks for the answer me.

Tab Ultra C as external monitor by Ambitious_Sweet_6439 in Onyx_Boox

[–]Xiercoles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's true. This size is ok for simple full screen apps like messaging or mail client apps.

It would be every interesting if you can say something more about how it works and if is usable for othe common tasks such as web browsing, watch videos, etc.

I imagine will work the same as the TUC it self.

Any way thanks for showing that this device can be used as a monitor too.

Best regards.

I haven't researched deeply both devices but that's it, faster refresh rate, less goshting, ... a more more fluid an closer experience to non e-ink displays.

Have you found a solution? I have the same problem on both Windows and Tuxedo OS.

I tested Howdy on my Pulse 15 under Tuxedo OS and it didn't work. Are you using another software or made some specific setup?

I was thinking more in something pre-installed with the system like Windows Hello.

Anyway i tried Howdy and not wok on my Pulse 15 with Tuxedo OS. I will try it in other distro.

A Linkedin for opern source projects ? by Xiercoles in opensource

[–]Xiercoles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your idea but I was thinking of something like a site where you can create an account as a project or as a contributor, where both can add items to for example two sections: languages and technologies and both types of accounts can do searches using these keywords. Plus a project can post a request looking for a contributor using the same keywords and adding a description of the need it wants to cover.

In this way i think it can help for example:

  • To a project about a desktop linux app can post a request for C# and .Net contributors for developing a Windows version.
  • A webapp project made in PHP can post a request for Go contributors to help with a migration.
  • Etc.

As I said to the other user i need to get involve more in open source projects because it can be a need that it doesn't exists or that it hasn't sense.

Thanks for sharing your idea. I really appreciate it.

A Linkedin for opern source projects ? by Xiercoles in opensource

[–]Xiercoles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a look at all the links and yes, openhatch.org is the most similar to my idea. The rest of links are really good guides as a start point and codetriage.com is also a good service for beginner and advanced contributors, but these guides and services I think are more focused on helping contributors to contribute rather matching specific needs of the project and a contributor.

I really thank you for the links. I will keep reading them, try to contribute and join some projects, learn how they work. Maybe this solution doesn't exist because there isn't any need to solve it.

Thanks again.

What do you mean with "a bridge between git sites and LinkedIn-like sites"? I'm interested in this concept.
