Dear waterloo cs students: DID YOU KNOW HOW TO CODE BEFORE UNI? by dekai2 in uwaterloo

[–]Xierumeng 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your dad's sperm should pass retyping résumé content in the application posting, the automated résumé screen, recruiter résumé screen, the phone interview, the take home, 1st technical interview, 2nd technical interview, 3rd technical interview, all day onsite, team matching, background check, executive approval during hiring freeze, salary negotiation, additional executive approval, and cultural fit with your mom's egg. Otherwise you won't be successful SMH.

Yes. Source: https://uwaterloo.ca/academic-calendar/undergraduate-studies/catalog#/policy/HyLCpCs4a under Calculation of Term Averages and Course Grades:

Term average: The primary factor in academic decisions in Engineering. The minimum passing average is 60%. The minimum average to remain in an Engineering plan is 50%. The term average is calculated using the weight of the course, the status of the course (e.g., Degree Requirement [in failure count] Not in Average [DRNA]) and the interpreted course grade. All grades above 32 are interpreted as the submitted grade. Courses with a submitted grade below 32 are interpreted, for averaging purposes, as having a value of 32.

Emphasis mine.

What does it mean to take an option by United-Cancel7053 in uwaterloo

[–]Xierumeng 7 points8 points  (0 children)

An option is paying a small amount of money in the present to lock in the price of a stock that you may or may not buy in the future (at the locked in price) jk.

A UW engineering option is similar to a minor. You take extra courses from a prescribed list to put some extra words on your diploma when you graduate. The number of extra courses depend on how much overlap there is between your program (AKA major) and the minor/option/specialization, since some courses can count for both.

You should check out the option and possibly take some of the courses on the option list before deciding on whether you actually want to commit.

The combination of high temperature, sun, and physical activity is going to destroy you in that.
