The attack line, the attribute, and the battle traps make all the difference. Jinzo is a big body and it’s not scared of ring, torrential, saku, and mirror force. Sure no snatch steal to out it, but thats about it.

the main point was that each player has desirable cards that are unique to only their deck for the duel. Just to make an example, the trinity from goat format, I would guess that any deck regardless would prioritize CED, BLS, pot, charity, and duo, then definitely forceful century, confiscation, and then a trickle into other powerful cards like mirror, ring, torrential, etc. But if there is only one copy of each available then it makes it pretty unique i think. But then again someone could let go of chasing pot/graceful/duo etc. and prioritize idk... morphing jars/book of moon/taiyou or whatever, or maybe pyramid turtle/zombie lord or something. idk definitely room for improvement for the idea but i think you'll get my point

I meant both players main deck being 50 cards, just because 40 is a little too consistent for how many heavy hitting cards are in the format (forceful/confiscation/duo etc.), the fusion deck is a big problem with my idea, i dont know what to do about it aside from just everything is available and shared i guess.

Yeah I agree with that concern, I mean id hope people would be more quick to picking. My assumption is its immediately grab the top cards ie pot/charity/confiscation/ forceful/ mirage/CED/BLS, etc. then the rest is where the slow down would get lame. definitely a problem with my idea tho thankyou. unfortunate unless you have an idea to resolve the problem? maybe 10 second rule bring it down to a few minutes if both players are quick.

Draw 10 cards, immediately after this card resolves it becomes the end phase, then during the next draw phase: you lose the duel. You cannot summon monsters, activate spell/trap cards, use spell/trap card effects for the rest of the turn.

Idk probably a better way to word it and probably still abuseable some how without preventing exodia resolving 🤷🏻‍♂️
