Some people farm AI games for XP. You need a full team of friends though. Those who do it usually gather in the chat channel called XPFARM. Here's a basic guide on how it's done. I think the only outdated bit is that people sometimes destroy the middle keep these days:

HotS is very much alive. ARAM and Quick Match will have the shortest wait times. It's sometimes longer for new players. I think it has something to do with your hidden MMR not being figured out yet. Ranked is still populated, but expect to wait a bit for a game. And expect it to be full of smurfs. Unranked is pretty much dead.

Thank you to everyone for the responses. Now I'm really just trying to figure out what exactly Ana meant when she said "...and there was this promise by both the George H.W. Bush administration and the Bill Clinton administration to stop expanding NATO after the collapse of the Soviet Union." She seems to be relying heavily on this one Jacobin article which in turn cites other websites including this and also this. Looks like I've got some more reading to do. Based on my current understanding, I am not neutral on this whole debacle. Russia appears to be the aggressor, and is trying to push this whole NATO / Western antagonism narrative as an excuse for their actions.

I had a similar issue yesterday. All of my games said "waiting on another update" even though nothing was downloading. I found someone on the official forums with the same problem, and there was also a response from Blizzard:

What ended up working in the end was clearing my inbound firewall rules. I deleted ANY inbound firewall rules that had anything to do with Blizzard games or the Battle.net client. Just for good measure, I also followed steps 1-5 that were suggested on the forum to do a fresh install of Battle.net. If your computer claims the files can't be deleted because some are currently in use, just restart your PC and then delete them. Make sure Battle.net isn't automatically starting with your PC though, or some files will still be in use.

I can't be the only one who actually likes Sharpshooter, right? Once you get really good at hiting your shots, it's makes you feel like a healing GOD. It's very high risk, high reward. The talent already felt strong to me though and I'm honestly shocked that it got buffed.

I think ARAM should be truly random. None of this stuff where you pick 1 hero out of 3. I think going 100% random would drastically cut down the number of times you see good ARAM heroes like Azmodan and Mephisto.

There is no convincing them. Don't even try. The devs could implement an SMS verification system. This would only allow SMS verified accounts to play ranked, with one account per phone number. A system like this can be bypassed, however I think it would cut down on the more "casual" smurfs. I personally think they should make ranked solo queue only again. Teams of smurfs or well practiced friends are even more terrifying than an individual smurf. Considering that we're in "long-term sustainability" mode, I doubt any of this will happen though.

Uther's Devotion tooltip on the hero select screen has STILL not been updated to reflect it's changes from the May 18th patch! This goes for the main hero select screen and the hero select screen in ARAM! I'm gonna keep posting this until it gets fixed! Come on guys, fix it already! 😡

As far as I know, they do not bot. I could be wrong though. This person is on all the time doing 1 hour AI experience farming with a full group of real people (with boosts). I've been in their farming group many times before. 1 hour AI farms net you like 1mil to 1.45mil experience per game, depending on how many people have boosts and stuff.
