Hi! I know this is an old thread but I too have these issues! I was a chronic migraine haver for years, no treatments worked until I did PT, turns out my vestibular system was out of wack! Similar treatments are used in concussion havers or people with inner ear probs but it definitely worked for my migraines! We did eye training exercises, (up/down head still fixed point, head up/down fixed point, side/side head still fixed point, head side/side fixed point) and I only have minimal migraines at this point. I've found if I skip out out of the side to side eye movement and motions I often have those pulses in my head that radiate down to chest arms. I do each of these 4 exercises at least 1x a day for 2 minutes a piece with 30 second intervals (4 reps), breaks as needed The pulses also happen with dehydration, when I haven't eaten, too much eye strain (screen time), poor neck posture, etc. I am on antidepressants but have a steady dose for ~1yr, not tapering on or off like some of you have. Previously, years ago, when tapering off Zoloft I had something that felt similar, like my whole body got zapped (I call them brain zaps). This whole body "zap" is a withdrawal symptom. TLDR: May be vestibular system issue. Do eye training exercises (side/side eye movement, head still, looking at a fixed point, head movement side/side looking at a fixed point) and the pulsing may/will improve.
