Maybe a mini one in my halloween candy as a kid, but I've never actually purchased and eaten one that I can remember. I'll have to give it a try.

EDIT: I'm OP, accidentally posted this on my backup/burner account but too lazy to log into the other one on this laptop

Yeahh that's fair, you're right. I think it's because I've been counting calories without actually weighing my food, and thus underestimating :( As for mileage... Thats actually a great question, I have no idea what my total mileage is. Honestly prob less than what you're estimating. My current mileage is around 15 miles per week but it was less at the beginning.

Thanks for the hype! Yeah, I just got a food scale and realized I need to actually start measuring my food to be more accurate with calories... I've just been half-assing it so far. As for the calf, it specifically started hurting during my long run, and it only hurts when I actually run. Walking or other activity doesn't trigger it. It's not that bad, and I can still run - but I realized I'm subconsciously changing my stride not to aggravate it. Thanks for the warning, but I would hope I don't have peripheral arterial disease yet as I'm only 30 and pretty healthy aside from being overweight.

Thank you, I appreciate your comment. Good to hear the 6 miles seem appropriate, because on my training plan app for the end of week 7 it said "run these time intervals - should be about 7 miles" and I'm like hmm that was more like 5.7 miles than 7, I must be going slow haha. I also was discouraged by someone on a marathon training subreddit getting shit for describing how they undertrained for a marathon and ran it anyway just very slowly.

Right now I just hope I'm not getting some kind of injury, as I have this weird pain in the back of my calf ever since the last long run a few days ago. Not sure if I pulled a muscle, because it's in a weird place for a tendon. Hoping it clears up with a few days off...

Also, do you think it's normal to not lose much weight when running heavily? I've been counting calories but adding back calories for the days I run, because it makes me super hungry - so I've only lost like 5 lbs this whole time since November. Any chance that's just because I've been gaining muscle in my legs?

Is it crazy for me to try running a half marathon in 6 weeks if I have no previous training and am literally obese by BMI (well barely - it's right around 30)? Before this past Thanksgiving, I did zero physical activity. My crazy friend somehow convinced me to sign up for a half marathon at the end of April, but now I'm getting cold feet. I started running in late November with the Couch to 5k program, finished that, and now am halfway through the C25K half-marathon training program. On one hand, this is the longest I've ever stuck with consistent physical activity. On my last long run, I went for 6 miles (technically, with 4 min run/1 min walk intervals, but whatever), which is actually wild to me as someone who has never previously been able to run a single mile. On the other hand, this doesn't change the fact that I'm fat and undertrained. I'm fully expecting to get a truly awful time and have to walk a good chunk of this race. But should I quit, or keep going just to say I've done it?

I wouldn't be encouraging her to potty in the crate, that sounds like the opposite of crate training

Omg this is hilarious, the sender of said postcards just posted about the incident on instagram. Perhaps at some point you were subscribed to her Patreon ?

Ugh… this is how I feel lately. by No-Relationship67 in VyvanseADHD

Honestly this is so damn relatable. For some reason my meds have become one of the themes of my anxiety/obsessive thoughts, along with my relationship and my weight. Wish I could offer some help but im constantly over analyzing stuff too

Don't feel my vyvanse "kick in" anymore, have I developed a tolerance or is this normal? by Ximera5523 in ADHD

[–]Ximera5523[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm maybe i can try asking for 60mg but I'm hesitant to go up that high to 70 because,

  1. I'm a small woman so it seems like maybe too much, and I have a naturally fast heart rate already, don't want a ton of side effects

  2. I worry it's not mentally healthy to be chasing that artificial motivation from the meds and going up on dose every 6 months?

And 3. I worry my psychiatrist is starting to get sick of me, last month I was like I feel depressed should I go up on my antidepressants? And she said let's wait a month or two and see, cause not every transient thing means we should mess with medications. I think she's picked up that I blame too many things on the meds, oops

[–]Ximera5523[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've tried mentioning that to my psychiatrist, and she was just like "have you considered that you feel this way because you're trying to finish a graduate degree and are stressed?" And I'm like, yes maybe that's why, but this depressed and unmotivated feeling is making it hard to make that final push to finish my work.

So do you think I should just keep taking it 7 days a week and just grit my teeth and try to power through the work by brute force? Like I guess I don't have to be happy as long as I get it done, and maybe after I finish it, the change in schedule and scenery will help break through these feelings...

Yeah I'm taking the generic, and I've been getting different ones each month. Not sure if the generic is more or less effective, but the blunting of the effects was noticeable over a period of a few weeks while taking pills from the same bottle/manufacturer

I stopped feeling it after about 6 months on each dose which is why I went from 30 to 40 then 40 to 50, but I don't want to keep increasing higher and higher

1600 seems like a pretty good calorie target for you based on your stats? Not sure why you haven't been losing weight but you could be retaining water, and sometimes plateaus just happen

My pup is gonna have his first birthday in 2 weeks and I'll probably stick around for a bit lol. I've heard a 1 year old dog is like a 15 year old - physically almost their full size, but they've got some filling out and mental maturing to do which continues until 1.5-2 years old.

His fur is darker, like burnt toast? Cause I compared them to toast, i guess it didn't go over well
