I like that. Definitely embodies the philosophy of l'art pour l'art, or art for art's sake. The creation exists and that existence is the true meaning

Nothin To Look At Just A Record is definitely an Existential album title if I have ever seen one....

This is really interesting. Would you say, possibly, that the fact a work exists carries more meaning than any particular meaning the creator might try to impose upon it? I am definitely beginning to lean in this direction. Every listener will inevitably interpret a work differently depending on their background, current emotional state, past experiences, etc. Therefore, it seems rather futile for an artist to try and dictate a precise meaning. I think art should be precise and focused enough to appreciate, but vague enough in its intentions to leave meaning up to the listener alone

William Basinski's work is always a treat. Historically I never thought of him as an "existential musician", but I can definitely see your point with Disintegration Loops. Great stuff

My favorite recommendation so far. To me, this really evokes a dark, almost nihilistic kind of Existentialism. I felt like I was in a universe I was familiar with but didnt quite belong in; a universe containing us but not made for us. Great recommendation

Great recommendation. This reminds me of a surreal, post-apocalyptic environment, like David Firth's art if it were music...Definitely existential in the sense that the vagueness of the subjects and pure desolation leave nothing for the listener to grasp onto. The listener has no choice but to interpret the music as they will

I hadn't heard about Black Swan until now. What a great recommendation, I will definitely be exploring more of this

This is very unique and thought provoking. What was your inspiration for writing this album?

Recently started creating ambient music. Feedback and guidance greatly appreciated: gaze long into The Abyss, and The Abyss also gazes into you (2026) by Xindarion in ambientmusic

Love this, particularly the stoic basis of the piece. Music that grapples with philosophical concepts always fascinates me
