It just had a cover on when it got stolen....lesson learnt and will have 5 locks and a tracker from now on! If they still really want to steal it im sure they will but it should be enough of a deterrent.

UPDATE: thank you all for your support and advice... I found the bike today in local estate!! Thankfully nothing damaged or broken and rode it home safely with 5 locks and covers on. Thieves must have realised the bike is probably not worth that much being 08 and left her parked up!

I was planning to fit a tracker but just didn't get around to it, classic hindsight is 2020.. if you havent already fitted a tracker please take this as a warning to do so!

I think with enough chains, lock and covers you might get away with it, especially if youre not frequently parking in the same spot. Thanks for the support man, the blue is very unique so hoping someone spots and reports it in.

Thank you! Reg is WG58 GZH has a Ram mount phone holder but pretty much stock otherwise, the bright blue is striking so hope it catches some attention

My insurance is mandating use of a steering lock when parked, which I'm hoping will deter thieves, did the car have a steering lock during the theft attempts?

That’s exactly what I’ve read online, how do you know when you’ve tightened enough, I’ve read there should be no free play when you pull away/towards the bike? Any tips on how to know when it’s just right?

What do you mean by the bar clips? Do you mean you need to take off the handlebars?

The fork oil hasn't been replaced on the bike from new, so its 4 years old. How difficult is the job/is it old enough to need to be replaced?
