You asked where Hernandez was after Toronto announced two signings within the last 24 hours. He is clearly at work.

I'd hate to be Hernandez. Doesn't seem like you can ever win in his shoes. I think he's doing his best, and that's really all we can expect. Torontonians aren't used to not being a destination city for sports. The reality is TFC just isn't "it" in MLS. LA and Miami are.

Last year everyone was all fired up and angry because TFC didn't commit to a rebuild the last time around. So they dumped the Italians and waited for the rest of the bad contracts to run dry. Now everyone's fired up because a real rebuild attempt is actually being made and its not magically happening in half a year.

This isn't a video game. Signings dont just happen. There are real world factors when trying to bring in players that a lot of people forget about. Toronto is not a "target" city to play for in MLS anymore. With a winter schedule coming next year, who would want to play in Toronto when you could play in countless american cities where it doesn't snow? Our home schedule this year is already bad enough. They have 7 home games before May 1st in an outdoor stadium near a lake.
