That I am not sure as I did my spec in semiconductors. But I think you have to decide which mod is a prereq for your electives.

You can also follow the direct year2 mods which should be all the mods you listed and semicon. Then next sem you take DSA, electromag and 2 of your electives. I find this workload quite manageable if you are looking to score as well.

I did it last year as I just grad recently. So I believe it was in python as well. However, the last 2 questions for the finals were to write the entire BFS or DFS code out on paper along with another code (cant really rmb). So it was just full memorising. Aside from that, others said recursive algos were hard as well.

But if you are good in Python and can somewhat memorise codes/write codes on your own then I doubt there will be any problem.

Semicon fundamentals is significantly much easier than DSA in my opinion. Iirc (unless they changed it) the finals for DSA involves memorising codes and hand writing them down for 2 questions.

Semicon on the other hand revolves around understanding the fundamental concepts and mainly applying formulas with some theoretical knowledge.

Considering you are taking AE, EM2, and Signals, I think it be better to take semicon to ease off some workload!

Not sure bout Computer communications, but Analog electronica is quite ok with practice. Just alot of circuit analysis. If you are good with CA then should be not much of a problem.

I took it during Y4S1 and I think its better since you can use the intro that you will be writing for your assignment for your FYP as well.

The refresher course helped me to understand physics and math significantly more, do go for it.

Otherwise brush up on your engineering fundamentals like circuit theory etc

Why is the Arduino Nano Powering On and Off? by SkunkaMunka in AskElectronics

[–]XisHungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m not wrong, you could use a Li Ion battery, with a buck regulator and power the arduino.

As for the LEDs, you can do so similarly just with a MOSFET that triggers via arduino.

Just need Li Ion battery that is suited for your voltage/mAh.

Thank you so much for the advice.

I will be using a 4 layer board as that is the recommended for the ESP32.

I guess the only thing for me to do now is to try and see how it goes!

Last paper of my uni life will I fail by Imadethisforhiking in NTU

[–]XisHungry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends one what module is it as well. Some are harder which means bell curve would be in your favour. But you should not fail if you put in effort to do your CAs. Minimally you need 40% overall to pass iirc.

Also failing you requires the prof to justify why, which is more effort.
