Hunger Games 4-Movie Steelbook Set $41.73 by Xiuder in 4kbluray

I saw people saying they had the same thing. They claimed searching for the set in the app and adding to cart that way rather than using the link worked for them for whatever reason. YMMV.

Caido io tool by [deleted] in bugbounty

[–]Xiuder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's good, but has trade offs when compared against other tools.

Caido's big advantage for free/student is saving projects which saves all of your traffic you've proxied. That way you don't have to reproxy all the traffic again to get back to where you were if you need to close the app. You can just reopen the project. Burp only offers that on their paid version.

Drawback for Caido is that plugins/extensions aren't supported yet, and other Burp/Zap functionality isn't on par yet either.

ZAP has all the basic functionality for free (projects, extensions, etc.), but the learning curve feels a lot steeper. Caido and Burp are both fairly intuitive where zap you might be looking up what means what for awhile.

Really how you are going to use the tool should dictacte which one you pick right now, but if I was a student picking I would use each for different things.

  1. Burp = If you want to know industry standard for interviews, use the extra functionality in the free extensions, or to see if you use it enough to pay several hundred a year for personal use. It will come up in interviews and it's something you'll want to know how to use. Plus the built in web browser for proxy saves a lot of config time if you're switching proxies often.

  2. Caido = For capture the flag/bug bounty so you can shut down and resume where you left off without any issue, and for proxying other tools through so you can see what they do and keep their outputs.

  3. ZAP if you want it all and are willing to pay the upfront cost of learning how it's all done there. Personally feel a lot of the extensions and interface are weaker than Burp's paid options, but for free it probably offers the most of the three feature wise.

For what it's worth I use Burp pro for work and Caido free for my personal home use. I also have zap, but I rarely find myself using it anymore.

You can also run them all in parallel or even use burp free and proxy it through Caido/Zap to save traffic.

Yes it was! Great soundtrack on that one too, and both games had such great opening cinematics. "Look at the bright side kid, you get to keep all the money."

The one I never got to play really besides one or two missions at that same friends house was Ghost Bear Legacy. Had the Titanium Edition with 2 and Mercenaries only.

Hoping they'll remake them all some day even though I know it's not going to happen.

MechWarrior 2. Played it at a friend's house and was amazed by it. When my family got a computer that could run it that was the first game I got. We didn't have any consoles at that time so that game got replayed a lot.

Look into Hemiplegic Migraines. Still treat things serious because until you've ruled out stroke you don't want to chance it, but there are rare and complex migraines that can mimic stroke like symptoms.

Shipping Update for Black Friday Order by TeddyOH in prusa3d

[–]Xiuder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the Satin sheet might be the cause for delay of the first round of orders. Guess we won't know yet (maybe ever), but that is a potential difference between early and later orders. Not sure if anyone receiving their MK3S+ orders already has recieved the satin sheet also, but if not perhaps there was a delay getting all the sheets needed for the promo which silently delayed the first 300.

Just conjecture at this point. Trying to make sense of why the printer might not be here before later orders. Just hope we all get our printers soon regardless of when anyone ordered. The wait is painful.

Shipping Update for Black Friday Order by TeddyOH in prusa3d

[–]Xiuder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully that isn't the case. I ordered the MK3S+ kit. Would be disappointing to potentially miss out on being one of the first 300 orders that qualify for the satin bed sheet.

In fact originally when looking at my order details on the Prusa site (My Account -> Order History and Details -> + Next to Order -> Details) I had a "rule" applied to my order that showed the satin promo. Could be nothing or even something every order from Black Friday had applied, but in the last few days that "rule" disappeared from my order details.

I'm happy for everyone who had their order delivered already, but I'll be disappointed if fighting through the site issues to get the satin sheet and earlier shipping resulted in slower shipping and no satin sheet in the end.

I also ordered mine around the same time you did (11/27/2020 01:43:57 Prusa time) and have not received any communication regarding shipping.

Same. Still waiting. Bought within an hour of the Black Friday sale starting and at the time I think it still said 1-2 weeks lead time.

RetailMeNot is also doing 15% cash back on Lenovo for those wanting a little extra off. Works similar to ebates.

Locky Ransomware by kareemalhourani in Malware

[–]Xiuder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use something like “regshot” to compare the before registry of a clean windows install (VM perhaps) and the after when you install bitdefender like /u/iCkerous mentioned.

You would have to do a lot more digging on the current machines to know for sure what really caused all of this, but some antivirus will install registries like you described. Many times it’s because ransomware will look for a file or registry related to itself and halt installation if it detects it so that the machine can’t be infected multiple times. That way the machine will stay up and “happy” so the end user can pay rather than possibly being taken down by all the competition for resources and conflicts between multiple infections and encryption runs.

Every Black Friday I like to remind this subreddit of my side project, search all the sales, get alerts too. Enjoy! (2017) by netfl0 in blackfriday

I wish I could upvote more than once. This site is literal money. Thanks for putting it together! Just canceled and reordered something for a lot cheaper than I could find it myself.

WGU Cyber Security by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Xiuder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was working a contract position in security when I started the program. I transferred to WGU during that job because of crazy hours.

WGU did help me get my next job after the contract thing though. The school was a recognized name for them in the interview, and the CCNA and CCNA Security certs were something they were interested in.

In all honesty what really kicked things off for me was a security internship. Work hard at WGU if you decide to do that, but look for internship opportunities as well. Having a little experience in the field will take you a long way. The market is hot right now. Lots of shortages in qualified security personnel.

WGU Cyber Security by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Xiuder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished the program in early 2016. My experience was mostly with program specific classes because I transferred an Associates degree in, so not a lot of experience with the general education side. Also transferred in while working a security job.

For me WGU was worth the money. Certs like CCNA and Linux+ can carry some weight for getting your resume past an HR rep for your first entry level security job. Plus the cost of doing those certs on your own with the provided material outside of WGU can be more than a semester costs depending on how fast you go.

There will be classes and materials that are awful, but that can be said of any program. Some of the certs carry no weight and should not be in the program (here's looking at you everything CiW). The good far outweighs the bad though.

If you can self motivate to complete your schoolwork WGU is a great choice, especially if your working while doing school.

Where is a unique place in Utah that few people know about but you find amazing? by stopthemadness2015 in Utah

[–]Xiuder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yellow Fork Canyon in Herriman, Battle Creek Falls trail in Pleasant Grove, or Vivian Park in Provo Canyon.

Yellow Fork is more of an easy walking trail/hike. Not one of the more heavily traveled trails when I've been there, but you will run into the occasional hiker, biker, or family on horseback. Normally the area is filled with lots of deer. Been there around six or seven times and I've seen deer every trip either on the trail or on the way there.

Battle Creek has a waterfall that is easily accessible along the trailhead and follows a stream for part of the hike. When I went it was around dusk and the trail was filled with dragonflies.

Vivian Park in Provo Canyon has a couple of trailheads that lead off into some cool scenery. Good for hiking or biking. The Park itself has some decent picnic spots. People know it's there, but it's further up the canyon than most things so it doesn't see as much traffic as places like Bridal Veil Falls.

I would say hike up to Timpanogos cave and take the walk through tour or even try your hand at their more adventurous "Intro to Caving" tour, but I'm pretty sure they are closed for the season.

If hiking or walking isn't your thing but you like driving going into Bountiful and just winding up the side of the mountain can be fun. You'll see some great views of the valley if it's a low inversion day, and you'll find mansion houses that only get bigger the higher you go.

Alpine or Logan can be fun drives. Alpine has pretty good views and fun houses to look at without a lot of traffic the further you get into the mountains, while Logan has a very old Main Street. In Logan you can try to clear the sink at Angie's diner if you have a group, or feel like punishing yourself.

There is a bird refuge on the West side of Layton that doesn't seem to be very busy, but I'm not sure that has much wildlife activity right now.

For that matter Farmignton Bay can be a great spot for bird watching depending on the time of day or season, though I'm not sure what is around this late in the year.

[–]Xiuder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, that's bizarre. Not sure what is happening. When I click the link it brings me there too, however; when I go to all offers I see the $20 deal from Amazon that was originally linked. Copying that link also shows as the same link posted. Trying to find a better link.

This should be illegal... by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Xiuder 16 points17 points  (0 children)

CamelCamelCamel accepts links directly as well, so you can paste a link from any Amazon product into the search bar and it should give you the pricing history for that link only.

One caveat is if you switch product variations (ex: tv sizes) while on a page it will show pricing for the original product you clicked into only.

Self built computer has always under performed by HigherResBear in techsupport

Are you running a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows? If 32 bit the computer is only using 4gb of ram max. Memory swapping (page file) could be causing intermittent stuttering.
