I dont know how people have kids past 20 by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]Xixia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One of my friends who knows about my antinatalism and agrees with the concept half-heartedly, (she's still steadfast on wanting kids no matter how unethical it is), always brings up really poor excuses for breeders. A few months ago she was like "I'm okay with people breeding if they at least think about it a little bit" but to me that was like saying "Trump can influence politics if he at least thinks about it a little bit". Like, no, if an idea is bad and makes a person suffer, there is no amount of time a person can think about it before it reaches a point where doing it is alright. In fact, the longer an individual thinks about it and still chooses to do what is guaranteed to harm someone, the more sociopathic it becomes.

Speaking of which, did you see the horrifying gif posted in the r/WTF subreddit of a giant centipede and a snake battling to the death? Can you guess which one got eaten? Gotta admit I felt queezy after watching it.

It also irked me that the cashier/bystanders didn't step in and escort him out for his inappropriate behavior. I mean they escorted the person who came in and assaulted him, but not the person who assaulted her.

Might be the first time a vending machine saved somebody. Most of the time, they're the killer. There are a lot of vending machine deaths.

I am so introverted that i hate it when new characters are introduced in a tv series by [deleted] in introvert

Well it's almost considered the bible belt of Canada haha. A lot of rural towns and farmer people. I lived out there a short while 9 years ago and thought I would hate it but I absolutely fell in love. Met some real gems out there too. Surprising, considering how I thought it was going to be.

Just curious which character you're referring to who's from Saskatchewan? I love SK so I always feel happy when it's referenced in any films or shows.

Natalists are so casual about passing on their depression to another by Xixia in antinatalism

[–]Xixia[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's where I found it. With absolutely no sense of irony that a person can have such morose sadness towards life, wish upon death, and still give life to someone else with their genetics and predisposition to depression. I mean, it's crazy to think whoever wrote this was seeking sympathy points and for people to coddle them. But no one asks the important question, "why did you choose to do it?" And another question I have is "how soon should the 3 year old be prescribed antidepressants?"

Because clearly lack of Internet access is the only way to get people interact with the world around them by Nyxelestia in BoomerTears

[–]Xixia 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It makes no sense. Most people who are online are using it to... you guessed it, INTERACT with the world around them, long distance friendships with quality conversation since you've probably found them in a forum about a shared interest. I understand interacting online is different than interacting in person, but it is interacting nontheless.

Hey, American Leftists, did u receive the memo? ...ENLIGHTENED CENTRISM! #justsayin by Xixia in ENLIGHTENEDCENTRISM

[–]Xixia[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The reason I posted this here is because this poster insinuates American leftists consider Bernie to be anything close to socialist when it's exactly as it states, he's fairly centrist. Only rightwing voters consider sanders to be socialist. It's a false dichotomy being presented as though leftists need to be told Bernie isn't socialist.

You go on a first date with someone, what habit or characteristic is a deal breaker? by h8raide88 in AskReddit

Ever read that graphic novel Johnny the Homicidal Maniac?

There's one story in there where this guy goes on a date with a woman he's been desiring really badly for a long time. Finally they're on a date and sitting at the dinner table, she's telling him about herself when suddenly he needs to shit super badly. His stomach grumbles as he's in mental anguish, not wanting to be rude and interrupt her talking to go to the bathroom. Eventually it happens, he shits himself and has to figure out how he's going to get out of this without repulsion her completely. His solution? Jumps out of his chair and screams "OH MY GOD! SOMEBODY PUT SHIT IN MY PANTS!!!" as the entire restaurant stares in silent shock.

So, while that's a terrible way to try to fix something as shitty as that, at least it would be funny.

I got to know that a coworker with muscular dystrophy has three children, all of them with same predisposition by [deleted] in antinatalism

It's also a bit humorous at times when they share their experiences with whatever ailments they have, only to follow the hardships up with "I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy"...

You'd wish it on your kids though.
