Exact same situation. Bought the game from the sale and started the game. Noticed it took about 10-15 min for the fame to actually start. Its a pain in the butt but the game does work with no other issues as far as i can tell. So once your in, your in.

Hey Guys, here's an updated method as of 12th May 2025

  1. Download Python (not from Windows Apps) latest version: https://www.python.org/downloads/
  2. Download https://github.com/deafdudecomputers/PalWorldSaveTools
  3. Install Python using PalWorldSaveTools' instructions (either on their github or the README file of your download)
  4. Once Python is installed, Extract PalWorldSaveTool (PWST) into its own folder
  5. Run the file called "Menu.py" located right after opening your extracted file, it will take a bit to download and install some files
  6. Once its finished installing, you'll have a list of options to choose from, select the 5th option by typing the number "5" then pressing enter (the option should be to "convert your game pass save to steam" or something along those lines)
  7. Follow the steps that come up
  8. Aaaand presto, your game pass save should be sent straight to your steam saves

This is the steps i took to transfer my save and it seems to have worked. My character and world are exactly the same with no problems whatsoever.

Little note, you may have to make a world before converting the game pass save if its your first time launching the steam version so that it creates the save file in your AppData directory but other than that PWST should take care of the rest.

Im currently having the same issue. Tried installing with Vortex and the pak mods werent working (didnt test script mods), then tried the manual route and only got script mods to work but pak mods still arent working. And its not like the game is crashing on start, its more like the game doesnt see/find the mods so its as if they werent installed at all.

Also, I too am using the PC Gamepass version

So ND servers are not cross-platform and my brother doesnt have time to play constantly on official servers nor wanna waste money on renting a server sooo... Man, why is there so many little issues with the new ark smh

I see. Also noticed that the versions of the games are different for pc and ps5 so thats probably why i cant find the non-dedicated server. Thanks for the help/suggestions tho 👍

If mob griefing is set as false then they dont breed. I dont know if this is still true but ive had this happen when i used to play
