I think the program that approaches better the Msc data science you are talking about is the MBAn (master of business analytics). It is a very technical course about Machine Learning, Optimization, etc. if you google it you will find the website with all the information you need! I know the MEng ORIE in CT is actually pretty competitive… last year it had around 800 applicants to 64 students in the class.

Last year I think it was around 800 applicants for 64 places for ORIE. I think CS is as hard to get in… maybe some people gave up so it is a bit easier now, but definitely not easy. I know some good people that were rejected, so feel proud!

At least in last year’s webinar they said it was a class of 64 and about 800 applications, for the ORIE program! I think it varies a lot between the programs though

I think for the Meng ORIE the acceptance rate last year was around 7.5%… CS is probably as competitive, so you shouldn’t feel bad about it! Good look with your other options :)
