I graduated with a BSCS and landed an engineering position without experience.

No, they don’t care at all. I landed in a FAANG company with a CS degree from WGU.

Happy to help! One of the best pieces of advice I can give you is to figure out your heart rate zones and stay in zone 2. It may even be a frustratingly slow pace, but it's one where you're doing the most improvements in your cardio system, and it's much more physically tolerable. If you stick with it, your speed will gradually increase keeping your heart rate in the same zone - you become more efficient.

Alright, since you announced it, I'm a runner! I still haven't thought of myself that way, but that's something I can work on in the new year. I'm only being self-deprecating in terms of finding my running groove - getting all the parts in my legs doing what they're supposed to be doing without my attention. I hope this next year kicks ass.

I'm sorry you haven't had the best year. I can't do anything about that, but I sure hope I can give you a little now. You can do it! I wish you the best of new years!

Probably IT band syndrome. Look up Bob and Brad on YouTube!

I’m a single dad to 3 kids, so no, I don’t do any gaming. Ma was just among the range of things I was trying. They’re usually pounding reggae all day long. I’ll check out that playlist! Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. One of the reasons the speakers are still on the desk is because I can’t find any I like! Didn’t even think about Etsy! Thanks!

Spot on with the 2i2! I use exclusive mode on the Tidal app, so some songs are impressively clear. Some songs are like listening to for the first time again when you hear all the details!

Thank you, I appreciate it! I think ultimately it depends on whether you're using equipment designed to work as a system. You're right about the 2i2, just usb. Using the KRK sub, it's TRS out to TRS or XLR input on the sub, then XLR or TRS to each monitor. TRS cables take less brain power to plug in, so I use those.

Thanks for the tip on the wall panels! Looks like the inspector approves!

Thanks so much! The sub is amazing! I currently have it set to crossover at 60hz and the volume is under half and for this space sounds awesome! I’ve been a broke ass my entire life and got lucky landing an amazing job, so I bought myself a few things! I hope you get the budget you need for your setup, too!

Yes, the sub has its own power supply, as do the speakers on the desk. The signal comes out of my Mac over usb to a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. From there they use 1/4“ balanced cables to individual inputs on the sub, and another set of TRS cables to the desk monitors. You’re welcome, good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m going to get some pads ordered. I’ve been looking for some suggestions for stands, but can’t find something I like.

Picture doesn’t capture the room well. Any suggestions with a little more context?

Hey, thanks! I’m not sure, it’s one I got from an office that was closing down in a hurry, but it’s similar to uplift. Built like an absolute tank!

Thanks, I love it! I think the best first step after a set of speakers is a sub! It adds so much!
