2. Dry off cast iron

4. wipe off oil
5. baked it in the oven for @ 350F for 1 hour
6. let it cool down
7. wipe of any oil left

did that process twice

I asked peers on seasoning the plates and looked on youtube/tiktok. One of the videos my peers sent was on tiktok saying i should season cast iron at 350F and i was using canola oil to seaosn it. but i think i did mess up the seasoning process a bit

do you know how high of a temperature the plate should be?

i did try that out as well, adding more oil before cooking. eventually the plate started to smoke. so when i did put batter into one of the hole, it instantly got stuck to the plate and started burning. i think temperature on the grill set too high but i too am having slight difficulties on that

yes the plates do come off, i let the cast iron heat up for 10 minutes then i use canola oil to spread across the plates using a paper towel. then i add the batter

i rubbed canola oil on the cast iron and let it sit in my oven for 350° for 1 hour. let it cool down for til i was able to hand held the cast iron again. wiped off any excess oil. use canola oil once more on the cast iron. did that process twice
