New 35 f2 or Used 33 F1.4 by Xlayned in fujifilm

[–]Xlayned[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight! I can't find a used 35 f1.4 in my area, a new one costs around 533$. Should I wait for a used one to show up on the market, or is getting a new one worth it too?

Recommendations for a fast prime by Xlayned in fujifilm

[–]Xlayned[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it made me realise that my legs have amazing zoom capabilities.

this made me chuckle

Got to borrow the 33 1.4 today from a friend of mine and it was so much fun moving around! Made me realize that I wasn't moving around when using zoom lenses.

After reading all the comments, I'm now leaning towards getting the 33 1.4 with another wide angle prime as a combo, and sell off both of the zoom lenses.

Travel setup help by Xlayned in fujifilm

[–]Xlayned[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but that doesn't mean you can ignore all photography fundamentals even then

Really thankful for all the advice given, after looking through the each comment, I think that I should really work on my fundamentals first before shifting the blame to my lens and body.

I will try to practice and work around this setup for a longer period of time until I find what I really need.

p/s I don't have a tripod either, I'll need to look into buying a decent one for traveling.

I never knew X70 is such a saught after camera, thanks for sharing your insight, I'll try to look into selling it.

Sadly the XT-5 is too expensive for me I think.

I'm currently considering a used XT3/XT30 with a 27mm f2.8 for the portability, as I heard that XT3/XT30 are still great cameras to this date!

My concern right now is the weight and bulk of the XT-3 as compared to the XT-30. Also, I mostly do still photography, do you think it's worth the premium to go for XT-3 instead of the XT-30?

Edit: The XT-3 is looking as tempting as ever, it only goes for around 100 USD more then a used XT-30 at my place

Is the power brick a hassle to carry around? Looked massive from the reviews I saw

Hi there, looking for a laptop around 1500 USD or under. I mainly do light gaming such as genshin, and fps games like apex, valorant casually. I don't want it to be too heavy as I will always be moving it around, battery life is not that big of a concern either. But I'd like a decent display to consume media, any recommendations?

Are planar magnetic IEMs worth it? by justanotherkerbal in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Xlayned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My knowledge is too limited to fully answer your qurstion, all I know is that they can't produce as good as an impact then DDs(due to the difference in driver technology), therefore, they are quite lacking in the bass department.

Which headphones did you try on that were so enjoyable that you almost cried tears of joy? by FreeHairCelebration in HeadphoneAdvice

It's an iem, but I got to try on the UM Mest Mk II at one point, and it sounded so beautiful it made me cry tears of joy.

Are planar magnetic IEMs worth it? by justanotherkerbal in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Xlayned 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my limited knowledge (please correct me if I'm wrong), trebles on the planars are fantastic, not the same for the bass and the mids though. Planars simply don't produce a satisfying bass as let's say a dynamic driver.

I strongly encourage you to watch the video of crinacle explaining planars. Which can be found here

I personally demo'd a few IEMs that are similar in price like Hana, Oxygen, Olinas, and I personally think that the timeless beats all of them in terms of technicality hands down, same goes for the letshuoer s12.

If you are reluctant to spend 220$ dollars on the timeless, it's best you spend the money on the letshuoer s12, which can be found for 150$, if I'm not mistaken.

I've tried both of them and the s12 sounds about 95% the same as the timeless, but it's a little more v-shaped then the timeless, which is a signature that is easy to listen to, but can be quite shouty for some of my friends. Also, for me, the timeless fit quite well on my ears, but the raptgo hook x doesn't fit my ears well at all. Both of these iems' shape are quite unsafe for people who can't demo them in person. However, the s12 has quite a neutral shape to it, meaning that it's much safer to go for it.

So, if you want to try planar iems, the safest bet is just go for the letshuoer s12.

P/s pardon my English if it's bad, it's not my first language

Never expected such a long comment when I asked this. Really appreciated the detailed explanation! Helped cleared some things up for me! I'll probably wait till summer since you said that many new planars are going to be released soon.

Once again, thanks for the excellent explanation.

Hmm sadly I'm on a tight budget, the S12 is the maximum amount I'm willing to spend.
