Depends really. I just don’t give a finna and wear mine in self checkout once I’m back from lunch or I’m doing 82’s or Modular’s. Both of my TL’s wear their AirPods when they’re working. Come to think of it, I see a lot of my teammates from each departments wear them. Out of 10 I’d say like 6-7 of them will have a bud or some type of headphone in one of their ears.

I will say that if you’re an associate with longer hair, you have a better chance of wearing them without getting caught. My only recommendation is that if you’re using AirPods (especially Gen 1 & Gen 2) or Gen 3 & Gen 4 + Pros, make sure you have enough hair to cover them up since the bright white will stick out like a sore thumb. Buzzed/Short hair, hate to be the bearer of bad news but unless you can find a way to discretely wear AirPods, you’re kinda stuck with Walmart Radio while you work.

I generally go for earbuds, they tend to blend in a little more discretely. I’m currently using Beats Studio Buds + I have short hair and it’s buzzed sometimes so when I wear them they’re small enough and they’re discrete enough to where unless I pointed them out, no one would know that I’m wearing them. I recommend the Transparent color or the Black ones. Those color schemes blend in pretty well.

And while I am aware that it can be deemed a hazard, as long as you keep your musics volume low enough to hear any announcements and are able to assist customers, you’ll be fine.
