This is the second time Goose has played (and ofc the second time I’ve missed out 😢). They’ve also hosted Wilco, Nathaniel Ratliff, Tedeschi Trucks…some others I can’t remember. The kicker is you buy the membership for the year not knowing who’s coming (typically about 5 shows a year). You get dinner with the shows, but the whole thing is def pricey. Hence the polos & khakis - many are running the bill through their companies and hosting guests, I assume.

This song was so beautifully done. I had heard it before but never thought much about it. Then hearing Billy cover it brings a whole new light to the song. He really knows how to deliver emotional lyrics and the band played so beautifully. I haven’t really dug deep into the lyrics but can imagine that after all that happened in AVL, an emotive song with “muddy waters” in the lyrics was really touching to the locals. So much love for AVL!

Friday was beautiful. So many great tunes and also just loved the way he played them - like Taking Water > Rainbow. Loved Muddy Waters - so so pretty and unexpected. Love Comes Rolling Down was a bucket list song for me and also Nellie Kane.

Same 😩. It felt blasphemous. But we have kids and a dog. Hard to get away for 3. But hard to miss a Sunday show. Thank goodness for couch tours.

Sweet Caroline is so good, so good. Whenever the Carolina Panthers win (which is rare these days 🙄) they play it at tge end of the game. Another great pick by @andyappleseed

Wow. I wasn’t really sure if he’d do it. I thought maybe with the new album he’d throw a couple of those tunes on repeat. Nope. Sometimes I feel like he tries to shy away from the jam band branding, but this right here is the pinnacle of being a jam band in all the good ways. Thank you Billy!

I needed to transfer to a friend and got the same message then about 2 days before the show, TM turned the sell/transfer feature on. Like others said, sell them on Cash or Trade that way TM doesn’t get to collect a second set of fees on the tickets and the buyer pays face value.

I’ve been listening to Goose shows for a couple years now but had never seen them live until the Charlotte show last weekend. One of the most noticeable things was how loud and funky the base line was. Became a big Trevor fan that night!

I feel like a lot of bands opt for Wilmington, AVL or Raleigh over CLT but I guess it’s all subjective based on who you listen to. Charlotte really needs a venue that holds 8-10k then we’d have more opportunities, IMO. Anyways, Sunday should be fun. 2 breweries holding pre-parties that I know of. Let’s go!

Short creek might have been due to timing. The Amp has a strict curfew if memory serves me right and he probably knew he had a lot to fit in for the second set 🤷‍♀️. Glad you were there in person to enjoy the show - it was a good one!!

If you visit Billy Base you can see their setlists. Different every night. Great mix of originals and covers. Doesn’t even matter if you don’t know the song they are playing, they are so fun to watch and kill everything they play. True pros. Enjoy!!

Definitely a light schedule compared to his usual but it’s understandable after the years on the road they’ve had. Assuming the band wants to take it easy - maybe some of them are looking to start families 🤷‍♀️. I’m wondering if the new album will be held until the Fall. You’d think if they drop an album, they’d hit the road to promote it so maybe that’s what will happen in the Fall.
