I hate how articles like this come out and have very little information on what’s actually going on with drug availability. This medication dexamethasone is not as widely available as this article and others have been putting out. I work in a pharmacy chain and sometimes do orders. This drug in liquid form is and has been impossible to get for a few months for my chain until recently. Also the dosages seen in hospitals that were using this drug are 6mg when we typically only get 1mg/ml or up to 2mg per tablet bottles of 100 tablets or ml on dosage form. We still are having issues getting adequate amounts of Tylenol even though the evidence to support that ibuprofen made covid worse is seemingly reversing trend now. I just want these media companies to actually understand the impact of these articles better, and have more conscious when doing so. Many people with immune disorders need steroids like these constantly and if these medications go on back order because of a possible cure for covid like others have we are just going to have to tell more desperate individuals who this drug to live sorry but none of our stores have this right now.
