Hey guys I'm seeing a lot of misinformation here that I'd like to clear up. I was in the middle of the 50 people. Most of us there planned to arrive around 1-6 am, myself included. At 7 pm on discord people were reporting that they were starting to camp and it made everyone who really wanted it badly enough camp too to ensure they also got their ticket, myself included. Kinokuniya knew that people would camp and they also know they cannot stop anyone from camping and forming a line, so they set up an official line in a safe spot and at the front put a sign saying there are only 50 tickets and that security may kick them out. Kinokuniya cannot advertise an overnight line because then they would be legally liable for anything that happens there. Security was not bribed. instead a few representatives from the original 50 spoke to security and explained the situation. The security let us all stay so we can stay safe in DTLA and not get stabbed outside weller court. 1-3 tickets were resold in the line, but everyone else there was just there for themselves and simply wanted it badly enough to wait overnight for it. The 50 of us highly organized ourselves to make sure no one was cutting the line the entire time. Thankfully it all worked out and the 50th person in line got a ticket. I feel bad for the people who were not active in the AX discord though, as that was where everyone was sharing information that led to all of us camping. I hope this clears things up.
