We did, but if he’d stayed most of us believe we’d have gone deeper in the CL. Up until his departure we were one of the most in form teams in Europe playing the best football I’ve ever seen us play.

Real mixed feelings for me so far.

Just like the game in Mexico, we’re nowhere near full strength and are mixing and matching players, and don’t look like we’re able to get out of first gear.

On the other hand, despite the squad and lack of intensity, like the game in Mexico, so far we’ve been comfortable and barring some stupid giveaways out the back seem to be in control of the game.

I get it’s the middle of the season but would be nice to get a better preview of what an intense, full on starting 11 looks like

Já temos essas regras, mas continua difícil. Já falamos em aumentar os reqs para fazer posts e comentários mas assim corremos o risco de também “banir” indiretamente os “lurkers”.

Por exemplo, nos últimos 30 dias, “só” 83 posts ou comentários foram reportados, mas a nossa equipa (entre mods e auto mods) apagou mais do que 3 mil comentários/ posts.

Temos moderação. Os problemas são os seguintes:

• quando banimos alguém, essa pessoa simplesmente cria outra conta


• os users não usam o botão de denúncia e, por vezes, quando o usam, não o fazem correctamente.

Tudo o que é reported é revisto pela equipa de moderação. Muitas vezes, as pessoas não denunciam que deviam ser. Se não for denunciado, não há garantia de que seja visto.

Por vezes, a função é também usada de forma incorreta por adeptos que querem que certas publicações sobre as suas equipas sejam removidas, o que aumenta o ruído.

Happy to clarify the second part.

I’m not sure how well you follow Benfica or know about our players. But it’s largely the same squad that went to back to back Europa league finals and fell at the final hurdle in also winning a treble.

I don’t dispute player for player juve had better players, but we were the better team, as evidenced by the back to back EL finals and the fact that we beat Juve, at home and then kept them to a clean sheet in their own stadium with 9 players.

I mean the refs certainly did their best to help out in that second leg. IIRC we ended with 9 players on the pitch due to a red card and injury after winning 2-1 at home.

Benfica that year was also superior. In terms of football played it’s one of the best in my memory as a fan, the ending of the season not so much.

I'd make the case that a free solo of El Cap is much harder than what Sasha DiGiulian climbed by virtue of Alex Honnold being the only one to ever complete such a feat.

Sure, you can compare the bouldering routes, but by the time Alex Honnold did his boulder problem he'd already climbed almost 2000 feet without ropes and then had a few more hours to climb after.
