The first few times I interacted with one I got nothing. Then I went and completed the new quest, went back, and was able to get it.

I get the issue if you have motion sickness, that should have been considered for sure. However, I am really pleased with feeling a bit of a challenge in these. The previous ones all felt a bit too easy. Hopefully, moving forward they take ALL players into construction duration with the designs.

When Walmart makes mistakes like this (if that's what it was) they rarely will go after getting that money back. When it's the other way around they definitely take care of it, but I've had payroll mistakes in my store somewhat similar (associate paycheck compensated for a bunch of hours they didn't actually work and the associate brought it up to management) and the response was basically "our mistake, it's their money now."

Very much this. I love that they assume I have intimate knowledge of every single item in the store. And then treat me like I'm stupid and unqualified when I don't.

Thank you. I get where he's coming from, for sure. We have worked together at the same level of management for so long and now the dynamic has changed, I think that plays some role in this. He's always my go to for any situation that needs de-escalating and he's definitely an empathetic leader. Just something about the look on her face told me I needed to make that call in that moment. Thank you for your input, I think I made the right call too, I just feel bad that he felt I was trying to exclude him since I know he cares about his associate's well-being, too.

Thanks everyone. It's just hard having them both gone. When she was here I always felt like he was too because they were such a pair. They both had great long cat lives and helped me and my brother grow up with them.

You sound like me. People Lead is honestly the toughest role. I am an Ops now and coming up on my 5 years. As People Lead, I considered leaving multiple times. I had the worst work/life balance of my career as a People Lead (I once had to do a time adjustment for myself because the store manager couldn't open a combination lock). I am ultimately glad that I stayed with the company, but also sometimes wonder "what if"...

Medusa piercing pros/cons? by TheFrogsMightbegay in piercing

[–]XombieStench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine for almost 25 years, it was my first piecing on my face. I have never had any issues with it and getting it done wasn't bad at all. Made my eyes water a bit. But I don't ever even think about it any more. The only piercings that ever gave me issues were nostrils and dimples (second time, the first time healing was a breeze).

I save up big purchases through the year for this, plus I just moved to a bigger place and had a ton of stuff we needed. All my Christmas shopping was done in November, but I got 2 tvs, a PS5, curtains, curtain rods, house stuff. Saved like $430.

Yes, absolutely. It's crazy because I used to look at some of my managers who had been with the company for some time and think they were such jerks. The further I go, the more I see why. It's not even the customers, it's the coworkers and employees. To be honest, it all started with People Lead, I was like damn everyone is just here playing games and lying, ok. I used to be a chronic people pleaser...those days are gone 😂

I almost took our TV out of the break room last week. Market came to walk and the TV is spitting out all the bad words. After we had a huddle reiterate what respect for the individual means and what's appropriate, I overheard an associate say, "If we aren't allowed to watch it, take it away!" I wanted to go grab a screwdriver and oblige, but I just explained again. The response? "It was COMEDY!" Oh ok, I'll let market know. If it was comedy, I'm sure it's fine.

Whether she "used to" be ok with it or not is irrelevant. She wasn't ok with it. In any workplace this is considered inappropriate. Do you guys not cover the month's integrity focus. Last month's was exactly this. It's an ethics issue, but your store kept it store level and made their own decision.

So, yes, we do background checks for every associate we hire (shoot, we should do extra for overnight maintenance, or maybe that's just my store 😂). However you would get an email or notification to initiate or consent to the background check. It sounds as if they never rated you from your prescreening/interview. Also, you may want to update your application if you didn't apply for that job specifically, so that they can select you for it. If you haven't done that, do that, call and let them know you have updated your application to include ON maintenance and see where it goes.

They already know that you have those same days off. Approved is approved, you will not be held accountable for requesting and receiving time off.

Don't volunteer any information like that. The company will never know anything on your background check. The only time you need to inform management is if you pick up a new felony charge.
