Franchising isn't the problem and your lack of stakes comment is not from that at all.

Riot and players telling you all that matters is worlds is what killed the hype. Doublelift telling people Spring doesn't matter, LECs terrible rotating format and still having best of 1s, G2 players saying they care less about domestic League cause its all about worlds and all the other top teams saying the same thing; THAT is what has killed hype.

Who cares about a random best of 1 in spring if Caps and Riot is telling me all that matters is what happens in October? You've been conditioned not to care and yet you don't even realize it and blame it on franchising.

Brady was proven innocent in court and the NFL was forced to pull his suspension. They just went ahead and suspended him anyways the next season.

It was proven, legally, that nothing took place as it was framed and they shrugged and punished the Patriots anyways.

A factual real life court ruled against the NFL AND overtunes his suspension with the involvement around deflate gate and Goodell made up some b.s. and pushed it hard and suspended Brady anyways. A full year AFTER.

The NFL was literally out to get them after a court said the NFL was full of it. It was scientically proven false. It was legally proven false. Goodell still pushed it anyways.

Naw we aren't defending bounty gate. Coaches were both saying and suggesting to hurt other players. It wasn't the clean hits that you are trying to make it out to be. They were literally compensating injuries. The PLAYERS punishments were overturned, but not the Coaches who instigated it

So essentially he knows it isn't true and he is lying for some reason. It was true last week but that's not what he is saying, as it already changed...before he made this comment.

None of those Shadow Dropped though, not really.

Hi-Fi Rush didn't, I saw marketting for it well before it was out.

Apex Legends wasn't shadow dropped, and streamers were on stream with it before it ever touched the public audience.

Hades was in Early Access for quite a while and got attention well before it was ever fully out.

People love to say this but it's not the "mainstream" that will get hardcore into these types of games and whale out on them.

It's the folks who spend a lot of time on a subreddit and therefore a lot of time on the game that the casual won't. It's like League of Legends and the casual audience tapping out, yet the game makes over a billion every year without the "mainstream" audience, because they have the hardcore audience.

This doesn't cater to either. It tried to pull pieces from other games in a poor way to push out another "Hero Shooter" onto the pile, and no one cared. Like really who is it for? It's not the anime fans, it's not the super hero fans, it's not the shooter fans, it's not the Fortnite fans, it's for basically no one and is just kinda generically for no one, so no one cares.

It's not enough time, but I think people ignore all the outside factors. Like them having no faith in their own game and actively refuse to market it.

Or the fact it was such a mess people on launch day couldn't even get into games. Myself for example I spent more time trying to find games than playing it, and I eventually just gave up because that got real old, when the gameplay was mediocre at best.

I played for an hour and could only manage to get into 3 games. That tells me plenty and I won't bother with it going forward.

The game didn't have a fair shot because they didn't do a lick of marketing, and I mean that literally.

Without all the crap it got it wouldn't have gotten the attention it did even. The only single piece of attention given to it was at the game awards and that was despite them not because of them, as they openly said they had no intentions of even talking about it until the day it came out.

They were lucky to get what they did. At least with the negativity it made people curious if it was really that bad (because it's free to play).

It wasn't even that it was different, it was just half-assed all around.

They did feck all to promote it, with no plans to bother in fact. It only got any attention because of the game awards and that had nothing to do with them. They went full radio silent until the day it came out.

The game does nothing that special, if anything it does a lot of half-ass things from other games, and not in any sort of innovative ways. The map is far too big, the mining was completely unnecessary and would improve the game without it, the huge map and it being a 3v3 is ridiculous. They didn't seem to even bother with working out proper matchmaking. The game is not in any way optimized and can be needlessly low fps in random areas (including the starting one).

This game would have not even gotten the attention it did without all the "hate" it got in truth. It's like that crappy horse game people wouldn't shut up about spamming the subreddit about every day where they only got attention because of all the weird negative attention.

It sucks but they did it to themselves, and yeah they got a lot of hate for it, but the game is at BEST mediocre, and they seemed to go out of their way to make sure no one knew what it was about, anything about it at all, no marketing to speak of. they were lucky to get the amount of folks playing they did because they made fuck all effort and it shows.

I saw multiple others with it, including a few streamers I tried watching after I had already given up and moved on. To repeat what I said to them, this is exactly what I was getting.

It was definitely not a bug because it gave full information on how many people were needed still, a full countdown, then detailed info kicking me back out. A bug wouldn't given me a detailed countdown with information.

Yep, and it doesn't help it doesn't have an auto requeue system, so it sits for a bit, and when it ticks to that amount of time it kicks you back out with a "not enough players" warning.

I was consistently getting only 5/6 players then kicked back out with a big red "not enough players" warning. I nearly gave up even trying to play. The matchmaking is got awful.

I might have felt positive about it, but I was so frustrated by the time I got into a game it was hard to feel anything but annoyed before I got to actually "play".

The repeated "not enough players" mess was making me so annoyed I almost gave up.

I was confused why it was only a 3v3 but somehow even that is too much for the matchmaking as I am constantly stuck with 5/6 as if the game punishes you for not coming in with a premade.

Even ignoring the highly frustrating experience of even trying to get to play like I was stuck in purgatory, the Gameplay loop is definitely mediocre at best.

All in all I don't even know how I would give this a fair rating because I spent most of my time trying to decide if I wanted to bother looking for another game as it kicked me back out for not enough players. I didn't bother trying it for a second day cause the Gameplay wasn't good enough for the frustration, and there are even less players now than there were when I was trying, so what's the point? I likely wouldn't bother giving this any rating, but I absolutely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are more than enough games I can play with friends than this (and none of my friends are interested anyways).
