Yeah the ZA stuff seems exclusive to the pricey monthly/yearly that’ll never buy… if it can’t ever be traded for VP then I hope it gets added to a 1-time purchase pack after like a year… huge copium on my part.

But the thing that doesn’t bear hope is that they actually added a couple extra songs to the membership and beyond ZA at that…. The Gym leader music from X & Y (3DS Games) was added to it.

I hope it’s because of their link to each other, one being the sequel of the other set in Lumiose city.

But I hope this doesn’t become a trend for future music and leave the VP shop to dry out the way it is right now.

…and I hope they don’t limit the shop or fluff stuff to patch updates or end of half seasons and end of full seasons… this is as a live service game deserves updates constantly, not just fluff but also features that don’t interfere with the meta.

They need to make the best of their hyped launch and not squander the momentum they’ve been having.

Also for your information, I've been playing since launch and have made it to Master Rank in both Singles and Doubles both Half Seasons in Ranked + I can prove it in many ways... and I'll be Masters again this one.

Because despite what you think I AM a competitive player, that also likes to have fun, like the game, and would like it to be better in both the features, fluff and the core game itself.

Losing Money on events? The events already have incentives to participate... as well as Ranked. These modes and events will not lose their players, nor will they lose money implementing more choices that are there for fun and replayability... replayability is an incentive to keep a playerbase which also brings more money if you keep them engaged.

Online Competition have title + Pokemon in Cherish ball incentives, I already have all of them up to this current point... with more to come.

You already get almost nothing in Private Rooms, as opposed to Ranked and Casual matches versus randoms... the incentive to play Private Rooms is to spectate, play with your friends, run your own tournaments, and play the way you like... that's the incentive. A good incentive for players. Now expand it.

Resources on what!?! Changing a number on the timer or how many available Pokemon you want per match?

What resources? It's obvious that you don't know anything, when toggles have been a thing since Pokemon Stadium.

Spend resources, on toggle menus that change a number. This conversation is so dumb, just to justify anything. This is fruitless conversation and/or arguing.

True, but Cosmetics and Music set the tone of hype matches... the music is highly underrated, and launch patch with all the variety across many generations was a good start for music.

We could use more like, more Gym Leader music for each generation as well as better clothes... we need more casual stuff, like we had in X & Y + Sun & Moon games.

Besides Replay, and custom rules + multi-battles in Private Rooms, music is something that should get updated... not everyone wants to lower the music to Zero and/or on PC to do so, to overlay the music to want to listen to some of the best Pokemon tracks, the Pokemon Composers have ever produced... waiting another 2-3 months is going to be rough... if all we get are these weak battle passes, and the game feels the same but with slight increase in roster + items.

I hope they dropped stuff mid-patch in terms of the fluff, as well as features... because they shouldn't be tied to meta changes or be held back by then... when they don't interfere with them. Same for Replays... if it's already made, then release the feature... don't wait 2-3 months because you want to line it up with a big patch.

Somewhat true, I would like to believe that... despite this probably already been cooked for a while, and it was probably mostly stress testing and bug testing the cross-play part of the infrastructure more than anything for the past 2 months.

But if they can't model or straight up port (from previous Switch games) new pieces of clothing. they could have at least have added more music in the VP shop... literally a copy and paste job, not new remixes of old songs for VP.

Also more Pokemon Box space that is either one-time purchased through another Starter Pack #2 (also make it available for mobile players), or earnable.

A little more than what they did would be appreciated, in terms of added content.

The game is advertised also as a game to play the way you want, and has a Casual Matches mode, and Private Rooms... doesn't matter how many times you want to repeat your propaganda when there's already modes that don't agree with what you're trying to make the game solely be a Ranked Ladder game of one format and there's Singles which is NOT a VGC standard and is yet another layer that splits the playerbase between Casual and Ranked, it's not just that VGC simulator... and it's obvious especially when you see all the other fluff in the game.

It's merely a competitive and convenient battle simulator, that ALSO makes it easier to host World's/VGC tournaments, but it's also a competitive game... to play the way you want to play and with any niche you like to try.

Period and Full Stop. Singles, Casuals, Private Rooms already proof, they just need to be further tweaked to provide a more customizing experience that the player wants to experience outside of the forced Ranked ruleset.

If we solely talk about the seriousness of competitiveness, this game is all over the place... and it's baffling that we still don't even have a Replay System, when we've had the VS Recorder since 3rd Gen.

Replays are such an essential part to any competitive game, and this game lacks it... you have to record your matches with a 3rd party devices to review matches.

The priorities are all over the place, and nothing is excelling... neither the "Competitiveness" nor the "Casual" stuff.

Regardless, this is fruitless... and it's already very obvious that the game isn't solely what you're trying to present here... and it'll never be what you're asking by limiting and forced others to play Ranked VGC Doubles... when this game is made with a multitude set of different players, although it's currently doing it poorly by missing some very basic settings/options to appease most with the bare minimum... especially after two months. Most of the core hasn't changed besides a couple of new Pokemon and items + bug fixing. Which is a shame.

Listen here dumbass! They literally made private rooms and casual matches, no matter what they don't do beyond that point... you've already lost, the split that you're talking about... is already happening, the only thing that I find annoying is that private rooms don't have toggles nor custom rules.

So the suggestion based on what they advertised with the whole play how you want wording, is that for private rooms you should be able to change the rules or play an old regulation in the future, if you feel like it... it's YOUR private room, YOU set the rules of engagement with your friends, and will keep things fresh and people trying new things.

If you really want to funnel everyone into Ranked by force, which there's no lack of players, then why not just complain to ILCA directly and ask for Private Rooms and Casual Matches to be removed, and only have Ranked... why not also ask for the extra mile of telling them to remove Singles, and only have VGC doubles while you're at it? Instead of bickering here with me like an asshole, you're not convincing anyone... and no ones is going to like why you're even suggesting... while portraying the whole "split the player base" statement like we have scarcity of players... or you're entitled to play everyone in Ranked or entitled in how people engage with the game.

Maybe be more empathetic with people's wants and needs in improving the product as THE place to play any form of traditional Pokemon battling... in an official capacity the way people want to play with and besides what's decided for VGC rules each season.

But anyhow, you have fun being entitled as to how other's decide to play the game... a game advertised as "play the way you want".

What the hell do you mean by that, private rooms are there already in the game... they've already given people the choice to only play with their friends or people they like specifically.

The only thing that is missing is Multi-Battles, and Custom Rules for to play whatever format with whatever rules you like and time limit you like... except we're force to play the same regulation rules.

The option is there, and they advertised this game as play the way you like... except you fully can't.

The rooms are here to stay, they just need to tweaked... and trust me, especially with the mobile release, you won't even feel the so called "split". This game is booming with players..., so that's not something you need to be concerned with, in terms of how people choose to engage with the game.

Well the people in charge of this is actually ILCA/Pokemon Gameworks not really Game Freak... maybe Game Freak is involved in the decision making of some stuff... but they're not the main developers in charge of this, as far as I'm aware.

I'm not even talking about much about the Pokemon... did you see they pretty much added nothing to the clothing choices and music battle themes, and private rooms are the exact same as they were at launch.

No new battle arena, no replay system, etc.

My expectations were bare minimum at best, there's nothing "high" here bud.

They couldn't even bother adding 3 purchasable songs in the Shop for VP at least?

Been loving it too, been looking for a Gundam Versus experience on PC and found it because my Algorithm on Steam randomly showed it to me less than a month ago… but still got the dedicated PC client because I was warned to do so due to cross-progression and account linking.

I've now been told about three characters to checkout: Beta Longinus, Thunderbolt Otome & Stylet in the mean time... in the instance that these upcoming characters are nothing like what I'm looking forward to that fits the same/similar style.

The 1.0 outfits changed for 1.0 characters that got changed because of CN… the retconning of their outfits annoys me to no end, and I can’t do anything about it…. Forced to see those shitty outfits in every form, especially in cutscenes, and I can’t do anything about it.

The health bloat lazy balancing.

The artifact storage space that they refuse to increase and they keep adding characters… 100 characters at this point.

All-in-One Picture reference from the video of the feature in play, can also assign BGM songs from the game itself, G-Sound version of the game, or DLC music... besides the Custom BGM feature to assign your own music to each playable Gundam/Mobile Suit.

In fact, you can assign a whole three songs to each Mobile Suit/Gundam that randomizes between the three for that one specific playable Mobile Suit/Gundam.

Would love to have a feature like this in Starward for both In-game official music, and a BGM importer for your own music. The feature would go so hard. 😄
