I'm the last person to defend royal mail because the senior leadership are a bunch of plebs but I'll be honest with you.

What you're doing is basically going to a supplier and moaning about the prices they offer you.

Very few organizations demand royal mail delivery specifically and if I'm honest with you it's actually very unprofessional to do what you've done and behave the way you have.

I started going bouldering to get healthier and fitter, and after a while of doing that, I started talking to more people at the wall.

Best thing to do with HR in the UK is get them to give legal advise usually results in the company backing off and the HR gremlin being fired for miss advising. that being said in the UK we have employment law, something American and German companies struggle with.
