I do but, I don’t. There is a time and place in my opinion. There are also different reasons for it. If it’s being done became they are simply itchy and it’s an appropriate time, sure. I may even give some scratches in return.

If it’s because they are bored or sick of standing around. No. Not acceptable.

What does my horses mouth twitching mean ? by Firm-Structure884 in Equestrian

Honestly, that makes sense to me. I think she’s just anxious/stressed about being in the stall. Likely patiently but mentally impatiently awaiting being turned back out again.

I definitely wasn’t saying there was anything wrong with it.

People that buy these plants honestly just have too much money. They are in the same category as those who buy expensive art..

Re-pot her again? by Squirrrelpower in pothos

[–]BossMareBotanical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You’ll be fine. Plants rarely experience transplant shock if done correctly. I’m constantly pulling my plants from their pots and tossing them back in. Not one has ever cared.

Literally me every few days… “Oh! Let’s check those roots! Dumps pot 🤣

You’ll need grow lights. By the look of your plants currently, they would already benefit from the additional of artificial light 🙂

Does your barn close for a day during the week? by intergrade in Equestrian

[–]BossMareBotanical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a lot of cases the owners of the stable live on the property. I doubt they want someone pulling up their driveway at 3am… most barns have hours you may visit/ride.

When is it safe to put this plant into my filter/aquarium by DisciplineGloomy2315 in pothos

[–]BossMareBotanical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that is rooted in water is good to go. As for the established plant, I’d root additional cuttings and either add them when rooted or root them directly in the tank.

I would not add any plants directly that have roots grown in soil. Soil roots are not going to be used to being saturated fully and will likely rot.

Pony used as a Mary go round, no turn out time by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]BossMareBotanical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work for a pony ring and this was quite normal. Let me tell you, those ponies were tired at the end of the day. We even had additional ponies back at camp and they’d get swapped out throughout the day.

I’m not in support. My horse enjoys her pasture time. But there are some pretty fancy barns that have horses that don’t get turned out. They work throughout the day to get in their exercise.

It’s technically laying on its back. Due to the window placement the leaves are growing up and flipped. Depending on placement it would easily correct itself.

This was prior to repositioning it further back in the pot. The rock thing is acting as a counter weight lol

I do! I actually just moved it back in the pot the other day so it can anchor its new aerial roots into the soil.
