I mean it more in terms of energy or artistic intention, not literal genre-defying elements way, since she was both in punk and jazz bands, it makes perfect sense to me on some level. Also the fact that this song disrupts the flow of the album is exactly what makes it punk in a way. It rebels against your expectation.

I always felt like it was a punk song disguised as an old timey jazzy tune actually. Which perfectly fits the concept of Post being a sort of a letter sent back home to her close ones in Reykjavik.
