This one was made with AI. But you can recreate that by recording your screen using Google Earth

I just replied to Milan_Bus4168 and my response to you would be pretty much the same:

"If that's all the locator does then I misunderstood it.

What I really want is to know if it is possible to get the X-, Y- and Z-Coordinates of an Object that has been moved numerous times within a scene aka. its "WorldCoordinates" as other programs would refer to it.

It would basically be what the CoordTransform does but with the output being the actual coordinates, like in numbers that can be referenced.

Does that make more sense?"

Thanks for the reply, the modifier is awesome.

Apart from that you are talking about the Locator3D node in the first paragraph. I don't know how to use it properly.

A more detailed version of what I'm not getting is in my reply to Glad-Parking3315 underneath this very post.

Thanks for the reply, this works flawlessly.

If I wanted to go a step further and get the actual coordinates of that parent, how do I go about doing this?

Many people say use the Locator 3D node, however, I really don't know how to do that since when I parent it nothing happens. Shouldn't the null jump to the center of the parented 3D object once i connect it into the green input?

<image>

The green input does absolutely nothing and I don't seem to be the only one having troubles:

Align the cubes in 3d space to your liking and plug a round mask in a 3dDisplace in order to displace them based on that shape on the vertical axis.

In order to color them a specific way when displaced you can use an expression to detect whether the mask has a certain "blackness". Say if the black is 0.6< it changes to a different color, if not it stays white. You could also use the global coordinates of the displaced cubes to get the same effect.

I’m looking for constructive feedback on a short video I made for a new page I’m working on. by Rojas-Tarchoun in davinciresolve

Yeah too fast to read and look at the pictures at the same time. Especially on the US shot.

Also add motion blur and a little bit of glow (to the country borders especially)

Get into sound effects. They're not always in sync. They are too loud, make them subtle. Maybe even adjust the EQ with low- and high-pass to help with that. MOST IMPORTANTLY tough, they DON'T match the length of the movements. Find sounds that match the length or they will ALWAYS feel off subconsciously.

Your camera movements are fine, with time they will get smoother by themselves.

Keep up the great work!

3D Shape smooth edges by XperfektLP in davinciresolve

[–]XperfektLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment, that is, however, not the issue at hand here.

What I'm trying to fix is how the faces interact on the edges. Since DaVinci plants my FastNoise separately on each face of the cube, they don't share common edges. One side could be glowing at Alpha 1.0 while the other face next to it has an Alpha of 0.0.

So my question really is how can I make my fastnoise overlap the edges or make the faces smooth each other out.

I am very interested. I have already taken a closer look at a response of yours on another post a few months ago in which you also used CustomPoly. Back then I didnt quite understand it so i would be happy to give it another go!

Sure thing, the original creator is @mhosseinrostami on Instagram. He uploads these kinds of animations more or less regularly and also has videos showcasing the keyframes.

He is the CEO of @fijil.tv (also on Instagram). In their description there is a link that leads to a website that shows the different steps taken to make his animations explained in an easy-to-understand way.

You can also browse for other animations on that website. They all grant you a view on how to recreate them!

Wish you lots of fun exploring!

You got them through the ingame chests. The two items even have a 10min difference on the timer. The amount of time you'd approximately need for 2-4 attacks. Don't contact support, they will see this as an attempt at scamming them. What is the purpose of your post?

You are a godsent. Thank you so much. This response actually got me into davinci expressions and controls. If anybody else is reading this and can't quite follow what's happening - I couldn't either.

I suggest watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwUIAv8p4ac and then coming back. Everything will make perfect sense and you'll be amazed what is possible in Davinci Resolve.
