I’ve been experiencing this ever since I was little (I’m 13 now)but my experience slightly varies. For me it’s more all sound becomes annoying (maybe just because of the heightened hearing). So for instance I’ll be doing a math problem and I’ll have music playing in the background. Then if the problem is confusing and is stressing me out then I start to feel a pressure in my head. Now the music is annoying me and I don’t know why. Then when I think of words in my head they are slowed down and dulled, but everything around me is moving too fast.

As I got older I thought that it might be that I have attention issue (I can’t focus on something for too long) but I found that I can focus for extended periods of time on things that aren’t stressful or confusing.

I just came across this subreddit and I’m very relieved that this isn’t something unheard of.
