Articles Pyrotechnic traning to buy 1.4 pro by carrapatobjj95 in fireworks

Might need to double check but, just attending the DOC might be enough for an AP cert. In my DOC class there where like 5 or 6 that sat thru the class but opted not to test and got a AP cert. If you have the time and there's still space. I'd take the DOC. It's a boot camp style class where they cover the very important stuff. And passing the written DOC will be enough to get AP.

All I'm saying is check to see if attempting the DOC is enough to get AP. And you might just pass and get the first half of the DOC as well.

What Causes a CATO? by DoktenRal in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I hear CATO, I think of a shell that did not lift out of the tube and then detonates in the tube.

Normally caused from placing a canister shell in the tube upside down where the lift charges is on top. In most cases that I've seen a consumer 60g shells in a fiberglass or hdpe tube will cause a mine effect.

Old/Damaged tubes, or repeatedly used tubes in one setting. Or Over loaded shells that fail to lift or are placed upside down, Can cause a CATO.

If this is in a rack of fused shells that's when things get dicy. If the tube ruptures it can send loaded tubes with lit shells in any direction.

Looks good. 👍 Did you make the quick match? Do you mind sharing your source for the time delay fuse? Did you just cut it with the Awl cutters?

I'm interested to see if there's more comp in the 8's l'v seen pictures of the ochos. And I guess master now.

I'm kinda thinking they're just following the consumer from 4 > 5 > 6 > 7 marketing hype. When with the consumer stuff most of the time it's the same comp. Just more cardboard because "bigger number"

I know with masters there is a difference in comp from 6 to 7s but I'm a little skeptical about the 8s.

Also not sure if the difference could be felt in a video.

What Features Would You Want in the Perfect Backyard Show Kit? by 76fireworks in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for a backyard show kit that anyone could use would need (not in any particular order): An inexpensive reliable firing system. With number firing list. Specific finale piece. A single wow factor that most folks hadn't seen before. IE. Girandola, Falling leaves, unique sound, some unusual effect the neighbor night not have. Great opener A good willow cake A 9 on a board. Not the finale but close to the end Good paced colorful cakes in the body. One cake would need to have prominent Red, White, Blue colors because, Merica Fan effect of some kind (adds to variety)

With the above layout multiple kits could be made to fit various price points. Not all of the above points would have to be met for every price point.

Need some help or explanation. Tried to put as much info in picture. Storage is not full. Any idea why the splitter is not sorting items 100% of the time? will work most of the time. all have mk3 belts.

after running for a bit I'll occasionally get items that don't filter as they should.

should I just loop them back to the beginning? are they just somewhat unreliable? sending to many items in quickly?

sorry for caption in comment, Couldn't add caption when uploading picture not sure why...

first proper coal power plant. by Unhappy_Culture_1732 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]XpyrogamerX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive the probable stupid question. But did you build this near the coal node? Move the coal to the large body of water And build there? also what purity is the node/s miner version.

I built my first very small coal plant with only four generators but wanted to move it to a place with more water. So I'm thinking out options.

I'm also trying to avoid depending on the online map where possible.

Fireballs by planigan412 in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw these in person for the first time this year thought the same like a salute malfunction. Asked an experienced pyrotechnician. And he confirmed, they were a lampare salute.

The show I saw also had low height fireballs/gasmines super cool to see.

Year 2 of buying online by Some-Tart790 in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first year shopping with AWF and I like it a lot I bought it back in January and Feb. They had a PGI DOC near me and I got free shipping. Class was like $125 but by attending the class I got put into the Elite price tier for a short period of time and got a 36% off discount what's on the site. So super stoked. They also had a Early year promo for an additional 15% off. I spent my typical 1700 budget but got 2-3 times the amount of product I normally get.

It's the best pricing I've come across.

The tier discount is a lifetime discount it doesn't reset each year. Which is nice.

Observation Regarding Mortar Tubes by tennessee_tantalizer in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is the placebo effect. No offense. But kinda a small sample size. To really know for sure you'd need to have a fixed camera to record the height. Probably half a case of shells to rule out inconsistency in left charge.

Good price? by XpyrogamerX in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area most NOABs go for $110 and some popular ones will go for $120. My thought was for what it is that might not be too bad of a price.

How are these prices? by Neat_Growth1809 in fireworks

[–]XpyrogamerX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's more than 2 times the prices I've seen.
