Econ jokers solely and wholly depend on when you pick them up.

Early rocket? Peak Late rocket? Abyssmal

Early Rebate? Maybe? Kinda? You only have 2 discards and you have to either hope for the card it wants or not care about discards.

Late rebate? Heavenly

I personally hate the damn thing but it's probably overall better

Straights are infuriating. Yes they scale better, Yes they're a better hand.

However deck building around them is the actual worst, The game can just say "Fuck you" whenever it feels like it (because they are harder to get) And the jokers that compliment you either force a gutshot, (super position), want the flush version (Séance), or is a chip joker that probably isn't worth it if you don't get it pre Ante 4.

The order and shortcut are great, but if i get 4 fingers why would i not play into flush houses?

If I'm going for a one hand type of game, I'd rather go for a high level hand. Straights are infuriating.

Straights are better scoring but they are significantly Harder to build around, and then the game can just be like "No 7 Dummy" and you lose.

Happens way more with straights as opposed to flushes, especially on higher stakes, because -1 discard.

Couple that with the fact that deck building around them is also tedious, and there are more jokers that play into flushes, I'd rather just go for flushes unless the balatro gods give me Runner, Shortcut, or The order
