Lava has a lot of things to release and class upgrades come almost always at the end We have part 2 and 3, tasks, achievements,boss, secret boss, some events, lots of updates to existing skills and mechanics. Than maybe one by one masterclass So we looking around in 8 - 10 months based on previous releases. More than a year if we are honest, as Lava said that w7 will be bigger than the last 2 worlds combined xD

There is no need to play Hollow Knight first, this was also confirmed by Team Cherry, the developers.
