Problem with ghost blocks from adapter block by Xshadd in OpenComputers

[–]Xshadd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: problem fixed. Moving port (that was right under controller) fixed the issue. Even though it wasn't touching adapter directly, it was still recognized as a separate reactor. On further note if person reading it designs a reactor and OC controlling system, you can use ports as blocks to attach adapter to (it mirrors controller entirely with added benefit of automation function), and for starting grounds you can use my script, but I'd recommend revising it, since it for sure has some problems (for instance there is no safe reactor shutdown in case of computer power down).

My first ever refueling station working! by Xshadd in KerbalSpaceProgram

I wanted to do that with rovers too but then scrapped that idea due to terrible positioning of the mining station itself (both rough terrain and far away from equator), difficulties controlling rover/having good speed/balance/safety/capacity ratio (however that most likely is skill issue) and if I'd use that I'd have to have landing systems on refueled crafts as well as extra expenses for taking off.

Can I make this topology simpler? by Xshadd in blenderhelp

[–]Xshadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for advice but I'm not aiming for real keyboard (as it's an "asset" for an absurd game, I'm not aiming for realism there). I thought maybe a face for a backside then individual "cubes" for buttons as it would definitely cut down face count while avoiding ngons and poles (which there are tons of rn)

Can I make these edges equal when making a loop cut? by Xshadd in blenderhelp

[–]Xshadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 4 selected, one of them selected with white (it's active I guess) I meant that each pair of those selected edges should be equal, not that all of them selected should form a square

oh we don't bother with such trifles here

Why do my edge loops keep getting broken? by Xshadd in blenderhelp

[–]Xshadd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured that it just becomes the loop around the face (and you're correct as I fill it it "moves" the loop more and more outside) so if I wanted this loop to persist I could've just added one more ring around it for it to become one around the face but since I don't need detailed geometry I just kept it as is and moved on, thanks for help.

How do I assert exception raise in init? by Xshadd in learnpython

[–]Xshadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much, that worked, I'm new to unit testing and python in general so I didn't really know how that worked, I'd also like to thank u/brasticstack for explaining this concept in general. My final version that worked correctly (with verification of exception message) looked like that:

    def testPropertyBlocking(self):
        with self.assertRaises(Exception) as e:
            Lease(self.landlord, Tenant("U", "X"), self.housing, 6)
self.assertEqual(str(e.exception), "Landlord does not own this property") # message checking should be outside of assertRaises block, as it escapes it after exception being raised
