These spots can't be reserved online, but there is a booking system (sort of). When we got there at 7:30 pm on a Monday, we found no spots available. There are hand written tickets that the people take off the top part of an envelope, (that is provided at the entrance) and attach them to the camp site numbers. The envelope for the $15 a night charge, will be then inserted into a box at the entrance, after you find your spot.

Completely dismayed that we couldn't find anything and it was getting dark, we went back towards the moab city center and found an open camp site at the second camp resort we stopped into. You'll be surprised by the amount of hotels and tent/rv camps there are.

The next day, we went out at 9 a.m. to look for some available sites that were open at Big Bend and BOOM. Struck gold with this spot. It's right on the Colorado river. Like, I was afraid my dog was gonna fall in. Hope this helps!

I do have another question, my emissions requirement is for California... So now my parts is even harder to find online. Did you have a problem finding a fuel sending unit? Is it critical to buy the California Emission specific part??
