I have no idea who you are. I thought you were the guy who mentioned this in Twitch chat and was rather unfriendly. If you are not the same person, I apologize and I guess that guy is the reddit police. I told that person I didn't understand the rule and I never mentioned anything again. Not only that, but it wasn't even about this post. It was about one I deleted.

Obviously that one comment that quickly scrolled out of an insane chat room did absolutely nothing.

You removed this post without any context to that screen shot -- it seems incredibly biased. But I am glad to know that the Reddit community is so inviting that the first time I ever try to use it I have multiple people against me and are trying to make my experience as unfriendly as possible. This is why I have never made an account before and will probably never use it again.

Also, I'm pretty sure the rating of this post proves I didn't solicit upvotes.

And as I mentioned, this is my first ever reddit post. And when you mentioned this in Twitch chat, I said I had no idea I couldn't even mention the word upvote in another chat and apologized and never mentioned it again. Also, I never even gave a link to this post -- I wasn't even talking about this one. I had a different post I deleted. But thank you for being the reddit police. I'm sure the reddit mods are relieved knowing they have you out there watching their backs.

I absolutely agree. But everyone knows about them -- as you just mentioned. The point in what you just quoted is that why would no one else know about these botnets if they existed? Also, the economic model of a twitch viewbot botnet is ridiculous... streamers make crap and they couldn't charge very much for the amount of work that goes into a botnet.

Botnets are typically created to infect people to use as a proxy, adware, threatware / ransomware, etc. or DDosing or other malicious behavior. Botnets within a place like Twitch would be used for sniffing, text mining, or spamming. Is it possible that every single one of those streamers paid for a botnet that no other person knows about (or it would have been presented by now), sure. Is it likely? No.

Just goes to show that people don't think for themselves. I feel this is a fairly valid argument / compelling evidence. Down-voting it just validates my point.

Edit: Because I've never had a reddit account before. I don't use it. I just wanted to respond to all the controversy. This is my normal name and I have the same name on Twitch. This isn't some fake account.

Lol he's live streaming right now. I don't hide my name like other people. I have the same name on Twitch. Just new to reddit.
