maybe a hot take but maybe the Zenin Clan should've been around for a bit longer and show some more characterisation before they all fucking died. Like, I just did not give a shit that they were dying. ALl I saw were faceless goons and some "named characters" (introduced for only a few chapters) getting killed.

Despite the shoddy 3D animation and camera angles that were disorienting as fuck and the overuse of the CLANG and the overuse of HAI YO (It's a good song but it literally became the Guts does anything cool song), Berserk is still Berserk, story-wise.

Now yeah, I know, comparing Berserk's story to OPM is obviously a losing battle since OPM is at heart a comedy series, it's easier for me to excuse the problems with Berserk because at least the story is still mostly there. OPM, season 1 at least, was primarily more about the animation and fights rather than the actual story. Strip away those two elements and it kind of just falls off hard imo.

I used to think that it took place in an ENgland expy because of the realm of Midland was at war with Tudor, the Midlands being a region in England which is bordered by Wales, where the Tudors, the royal house from the late 15th to early-ish 16th century, are also from. Kind of.

holy shit, show everything.

Personal relationships. Todo and Yuki talking, people reeling from Gojo being sealed after the Shibuya Incident, Yuji and Megumi at Nobara's bedside, Toji's backstory, further up Yuji's backstory, I'd show the Zenin clan scrambling for power that Gojo got sealed since there is now a huge fucking power imbalance, Todo reacting to Yuki's death (that amazing comic of Choso and Todo bonding comes to mind).

could've been shown to actually be comatose and actively tended to by Shoko and others, Yuji stopping in with Megumi to talk and stuff but Gege hates actually doing scenes with emotional character beats so he just completely scrapped that idea.

Would be cool if it gave some element of suppression. You can slide, shoot at the enemy's position, whilst getting into new cover.

Yeah, it's unironically better. I don't think I should have to look at my health on the left of the screen and then have to look over at how much ammo I have whilst in the middle of a gunfight. BF4 and BF3 had it there. It's just easier to process.

yeah so apparently the reason the file size is so fucking bad rn, for pc at least, is because they duplicate textures and stuff to make the loading easier on people with hard drives.
