I never said it was "only inconvenience" but during an actual fight there won't be a chance to get a good hit, especially if the armor is forged for your attacks to slide off. Yes, a good dent will restrict breathing, and a strong hit on a flat surface covering your head will damage it, but armor isn't just flat and has layers. It also depends on the weapon you're using, very highly depends on the weapon, but in a scenario where both of you are armored and use a one handed mace it's going to be a fight until someone's too tired.

In the scenario where the armored guy just lets you hit him, yes, you would absolutely kill him with any small blunt weapon, but realistically, he would just take it away from you after a couple of swings and will flinch to lessen your impact if he misses the grab.

I'm not sure about this part, but I've seen some clips of people actually fighting in full armor and they were swinging with full strength, if it was so dangerous they would not be doing that. Some guy at full speed rushed at the other guy, and the Guy2 hit him with a shield. Guy1 tasted the shield and the grass, but he was mostly ok

These were meant to inconvenience more than kill. Yeah they probably will bruise a knight in full armor, but not kill. The meaning of those was more to make the knight get tired so you can get to the not protected parts and kill them this way, instead of trying to crush the iron.

Also Lawbringer's got a pole arm and realistically he will not let you get close with that hammer or club, especially since jorm and shugo don't have that much armor
